The reason Punisher isnt in is because they didnt want characters that were too similar to be in the game. From all Ive seen, the roster looks to be pretty balanced as far as what each person can do anf their damage to health ratio.

Some thoughts on the Marvel character choices:
Magneto - Has to be in the game, or the hardcore will bitch. Mag-FUCKIN-Neto, amirite?
Phoenix - Interesting character design choice. However, this character more than any other is likely to be broken as fuck, and Seth Killian knows it, and has gone on record as such.
Storm - Has to be in the game, or the hardcore will bitch. S-Kill directly responsible for her inclusion.
Wolverine - Has to be in, or casuals will bitch.
X-23 - Put in to have more young girls on the Marvel side.
Sentinel - This one is for the hardcore as well.
Deadpool (it could be argued) - Dudes with guns.

I'm probably more excited about playing as M.O.D.O.K. than any other character on the Marvel side. I like to zone and frustrate in fighting games so it sends my heart atwitter to see all the bombs, traps and walls he has at his disposal. Dormammu looks like a lot of fun for the same reason, even if his mobility makes Blackheart look like Spider-Man by comparison.

I wasn't ever much into Dark Stalkers, so I don't really have much excitement for Hsien-Ko. Sentinel though, is definitely something to get excited over. I'm wondering how they'll handle the Galactus fight. Wonder if we'll be smacking his Fist and Head ala Apocalypse, or if there will be more involvement?

So, uh...I bought my copy of MvC3 off of eBay, thinking that it would ship on the 15th. I just now got shipping confirmation. Unless something is seriously screwed up here I'll have a copy of the game in my hands in a couple days. Updates as the situation warrants.

There was some controversy over the weekend when Justin Wong got the game and tweeted that Sentinel was too easy to be good with and Marvel 3 was ruined. Thankfully, he was just being a whiny bitch, and Marvel 3 is still a good game.

Gamesradar had up a video yesterday from a MvC2 tournament. I laughed my ass poff at one of the spectators yelling "Mango Sentinel is kicking that ass with the curly moustache!". The hell does that een mean? Really though, I don't care anything about what a "professional gamer" has to say. I'm getting this regardless.
