Protecting the franchise just ends when you realize there is nothing you can do anymore. I think this is why I have an odd respect for Alan Moore. He's an asshole, he's slightly crazy but at least he still defends his shit and won't give his thumbs up.

Who knows, maybe I'm crazy, maybe this will all be great and a wonderful change. Maybe a planet of aliens that happen to appear to look like turtles will be awesome.

Also Producers tend to have final say on a lot of stuff and can completely alter scripts based on what they want to do and the script writer basically has zero say.

-18 year old Casey Jones and April O'Neil with the former (a night security guard and avid hockey fan) as the main character.
-The Turtles coming across as flat, oh and they're aliens from Dimension X because they're supposedly the chosen ones of their world.
-The main villain being Col. Shrader leading a military division called the Foot.
-Krang, Bebop, and Rockstead all being wasted in their roles.


I can't imagine why.

You know, Casey Jones being the main character could work for an episode of the cartoon or an issue of the comics, just to see everything through his eyes, but the TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES should always be the main characters in any property with the title of TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES or the abbreviation of TMNT.

Michael Bay is now claiming that script was shredded (HA) and it had nothing to do with his production team and company. Yeah sure Michael, it just happens to sound like everything you did with Transformers and has all the characters mentioned but it has NOTHING to do with your team.

I think the single worst thing about that description of the script is the Turtles being from Dimension X. And not just because it means they're not mutant turtles, but it's DIMENSION X. Gah. It's supposed to be the home turf of one of their biggest enemies, and now it's the home turf of the turtles? The mind boggles.
