The pic of Fox as April looks fucking terrible. Their version of the iconic yellow tracksuit is just a damn leather jacket?! Pathetic. Reminds me of the Dragonball Evolution movie, and how their attempts to make the characters "look like" the cartoon versions were so minimal that they were actually insulting. It would've been better if they hadn't tried to make any resemblance at all, because when they did try it proved that they knew how these people were SUPPOSED to look but didn't even care.

Can someone explain to me why the mo-cap suit is covered in tri-forces?

It's to make life easier on the digital effects people. The suit's pattern gives them a handy guide to paint on the texture of the turtles' skin, and helps keep it all consistent when you're filming a moving 3D object from different angles. No idea why they're all triangles, though.

The yellow tracksuit is iconic. When someone randomly says "April O'Neill", every single one of us immediately sees that yellow outfit in our heads. She wore that thing in practically every episode of the show, to the point where I was expecting them to make a joke out of it by showing April's closet filled with identical banana-colored outfits. It's the one visually recognizable trait that April has; otherwise, she could be any random girl in the world.

Even when I was a small child, I was still a nitpicking pedant. I was willing to overlook some mistakes, but not others; and that raincoat was such a lazy mistake that I didn't even care. Even as a child, I could already imagine some Hollywood producer saying: "Well, make sure the actress looks like the cartoon character." "We can't, because a yellow tracksuit in real life would look really gay, even on a woman." "Alright, give her a yellow trenchcoat instead, it's basically the same thing and the kids are too stupid to notice the difference."

And no, I don't hate that movie. I love that movie. I love the sequel! Yeah, I said it, Snobby Jingus absolutely marks the fuck out for The Secret Of The Ooze. I love the turtles universe. Grew up on it, matured with it, sometimes wondered cock-eyed at the strange directions the stories took, but never gave up loving those goofy damn turtles.

I don't like the super busy looking designs on either, but they're not awful.

Still feel nothing but trepidation regarding this movie.

The designs remind me a bit of the ubershyte Next Mutation series, but much better overall. Their armor looking homemade and attempts at wearing people clothes actually work pretty well.

So, wait...Michaelangelo is the "cool" one...he spoke surfer/skater in most versions...but this is Bay. Does this mean he's going to refer to people as his "t-words"?
