Perfectly done. Though in a Shrek movie the bandana would be some enormous booger stuck to his finger.

It's still going to be a huge hit unless Guardians of the Galaxy surprises everyone box office wise. Kids are into the Turtles again and even though these turtles look nothing like their turtles, it's still the turtles.

I was beginning to wonder if the success of the Nick show was going to cause kids who have no to limited concept of previous canon would be going to this and if it would be their TMNT: The Movie. When I was a youngster I found the plot, lack of mutants, etc. in the very Mirage Comics based film very confusing but being Ninja Turtles and all, still loved it.

I can see Megan Fox is gonna bring that tough, sassy attitude to April... Granted Judith Hoag wasn't any great shakes but she at least had an air of independence/a tough exterior when necessary.

"They're ninjas..." with a mixture of indifference/boredom.

Outside of that, Bay seems to have at least kept most of the basics within and could actually do a decent movie with his own stamp on it (although my expectations are next to nil anyway).

Did Splinter die in that trailer? Seriously?

I'd also heard Shredder was a white guy in this movie.

Yes, he was the white guy in the trailer (the one who wasn't Will Arnett) who put on the Shredcepitcon armour.

I did notice Fichtner talking to a dark, shadowy figure about taking the armor to the next level in the trailer. Hmmm. Possible twist coming?

Or Vanilla Ice, asking him if he plans to do a remix of Ninja Rap for the film.

EDIT - I can't believe it took a Kraft Mac & Cheese commercial featuring Vanilla Ice to put life into perspective for me.

If you click the "Making Of" video at the end, Ice painstakingly explains the commercial for everyone who didn't get it.

And then Suge Knight came in and dangled him from a balcony, forcing him to sign over the rights to "Ninja Rap"...
