My 4 year scholarship paperwork got screwed up somehow back in '99 and we were literally at a week before school when my dad finally called in a favor to our state house speaker and his general from National Guard, the favor of favors, to light a fire under someone's ass. To this day if I see General Downer in public I introduce myself (again because I doubt he remembers me, one time he did) and thank him profusely for helping me get what I earned.
I'm with strummer on the pissed off.
And I also agree with Epic, this shit has been going on. I know I've mentioned it before, one of my older relatives used to teach at a certain SEC school in this state *ahem* back when grades were handwritten. He said countless times (usually athletes) he'd go back and see grades changed from Ds or Fs to C-.
Universities are supposed to be havens of higher education and thought but they can't run without money.
