How about that Shane "Swerve" Strickland in PCW Ultra? Is he still the Light Heavyweight Champion in PCW Ultra? I've been watching some of his old matches from 2017 - 2018. He's a great Heel. How is he doing right now?

I do not remember this at all but apparently, it aired on the TLC Channel back in 2001. I feel like @Holiday Spice Kamala would get a kick out of this (Big John Heidenrich being a notable featured player! Some of the random cameos are kinda humorous too, including Test!)

Thesz in ‘94 still would have stretched the fuck outta Candido, pretty bold of Candido to give him the grandpa treatment like that.

Norman The Lunatic Vs Kamala in an explosion match is a me and @BruiserBrody dream match if I ever saw one.

Nikita Koloff Vs Paul Orndorf is legit about as huge of a main event you can realistically do on an 1991 indie.

There's something really funny about solo Robert Gibson, "You remember the Rock N Roll Express? Well, we got one of 'em!"

I've posted this at least twice but story of the 1991 AWF is fascinating. Owned by a teenage British expat, who later showed up on @BruiserBrody 's favorite forum WrestlingClassics to chew out its posters and that piece of scum Meltzer.

This is marginally better looking than I expected. It's really not any worse than late era AWA.

Just got through the intro and I know it's gonna be worth a watch. Armstrong Alley said he's got 26 episodes of this. Nothing said hip in 2005 more than goofy, middle aged white man rapping and the stars of Continental Wrestling a mere 20 years past their prime.

Beau James on this week's Between the Sheets explains that in 1989/90 guys like Wahoo, Tommy Rich etc were getting 250-350 per indy shot. Meanwhile, Tully Blanchard was trying to get 1500 a shot. This is basically what Slaughter did in 87/88 (IIRC Sarge's number was even higher) and priced himself into semi retirement.
250 isn't bad at all if you consider Terry Taylor was supposedly making 30 bucks a shot for WCCW in early 88.

I want to find the board where somebody romanticizes the IWA like I do late era AWA garbage.

Jules Strongbow appears again! I was surprised when his wife told me last night that she didn't know who "Sodbuster" Kenny Jay was. She is from the southern east coast though, not a mid westerner. I told her of his death last week, and she tried to remember the name when she got home to Jules. She said she only muddered "Sod..." and Jules jumped in "Sodbuster" Kenny Jay! And told her what a great guy he was.
