Were you wearing Legion armor? I personally un-did 30 hours of pro-NCR work by walking into the wrong building on the Strip in Veteran armor.

Same game, I accidentally angered the Legion encampment and killed them all on my way out so there really was no Legion for me to support anyway.

I am in the midst of my first playthrough of New Vegas, doing all the DLC and side stuff I hadn't gotten to before the end of the game. I think I actually prefer it to Fallout 3, based primarily on the characters and locations; I really didn't like the locations in 3, for the most part. I also got really tired of the Enclave and the Brotherhood. That said, I am pretty goddamn weary of the Legion at this point; assassins coming at me while I am attempting to sneak through an area with 3-4 Deathclaws is pretty awful.

Speaking of Deathclaws, is it just me, or are they like 10 times more difficult to kill in NV than they were in 3? Because I am having a hell of a time with them, and multiple is just nightmarish.

I never got to finish Fallout 3. My game glitched on me when I was leaving the Brotherhood of Steel's base. I've considered going back and playing it again, but I don't know if I could after experiencing New Vegas.

I was able to finish the main game, but the BOS add-on was a no-go for me. I glitched out at their base as well.. it was the total fucking lagfest that people experienced with Skyrim on PS3. I do have the game on PC, though, but I haven't had the desire to start up a whole other playthrough... yet.

I think I preferred NV for those same reasons. Also the variety of weaponry was also a plus (including the mods). The companions, too, actually. Boone is a beast!

I've had an inkling to go back and play New Vegas properly since I got it and didn't spend that much time with it.

There was a lot more going on in NV but I still remember my first play through of Fallout 3 fondly. I thought it had an eerie feeling all it's own.

I am doing the NV DLC now. Finished Honest Hearts, doing Old World Blues now, which I like a lot; tougher enemies than the usual, which is cool.

Is Old World Blues the one with the sarcastic eyebots? That was by far the best one.

I restarted Old World Blues because I hit the 30,000+ cap merchant glitch and wasn't able to sell any of my loot. I am enjoying it a bit more now that I know how annoying the Lobotomites can be.

I thought it was going to be the easy DLC but it wasn't with the whole leveling up with you. Those Lobomites were really annoying. The story arc was good though.

I am not very far into it yet, but I already dislike Dead Money.
Is it because of the gas or the stupid collar? I actually liked it more during my second playthrough.

It's just a lot of minor annoyances. I wish it were night time or daytime; don't care which, just pick one. The collar is mildly annoying, but workable. The enemies being practically impossible at first was a major turnoff. None of your gear at all...meh. Etc.

Just picked this back up. Trying very hard to do shit differently this time. For instance, I managed to sneak iinto Vegas by heading north from Sloan, through Deathclaw territory. Skipped that whole other side completely so far.

lol that was my first thought after playing it for a bit, too. It does get better, though. Or at least, once you start getting some equipment and meet some friendlies you'll have less of a tough time with the enemies.

Also, get all those slot tokens or whatever they are.

I am in the casino, and trying to find the others now. The part after you flip the switch and then have to go to the casino was fucking awful.

Finished Dead Money. Just started The Lonesome Road. I like the fact that you're able to backtrack back into the Mojave if you need supplies and such.

Is that the final one, with Ulysses? It's pretty linear so keep that in mind. Once you start on that final path, there's not a lot of wiggle room for exploring.

Finally giving New Vegas some attention.

Was doing the quest in Searchlight (I think, the irradiated town) where you search the Police Station and Fire Station and was freaked out when as soon as you enter the Fire Station a giant Radscorpion Queen is in your face.

The big enemies in these games are genuinely scary sometimes.

Every time I see this thread bumped I pray it's for Fallout 4 news... I am anticipating that game so badly.

I agree. Deathclaws scare me sometimes because they are just there before you know it. Embarrassing as it is the first time I played Fallout 3 I got a little scared when a mole rat came running at me just outside of Megaton. Oops.
