Blitzball is awesome when you learn how it works. Square should release all their Final Fantasy mini games on a disc.

I didn't understand it a first because it's really a RPG that sport with the leveling up and status effects.

I've been going through both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2 using nothing but shotguns. Whatever momentum you gain by the power of each shot is lost by the slow reload time, which is a pain in the ass during horde attacks/TANK.

Speaking of zombies, I'm playing the Dr. Ned Borderlands DLC. Kind of reminds me why I think the whole zombie genre is played as hell; blowing the heads off zombies gets a little old after the 200th time. There are some other enemies for variety at least (FUCK the corpse eaters, BTW).

I splurged and bought Ar Tonelico Qoga: Knell of Ar Ciel.

Its been a fun game so far. I couldn't really afford it, but hey, I lost my job. I don't fucking care.

I need to seriously get a PS3 just so I can play the latest NFS... I've been playing nothing but Carbon and Most Wanted for like the last two months... I forgot how cheap the cops can be on Most Wanted, and Carbon is so goal-oriented, it at times takes away from the fun of winning races and dusting the cops. The achievements are a real downside, since you have to do certain things just so to unlock a bunch of stuff.

Yeah, I think my favorite part of ATQ is powering up my Rayvetail. Ain't nothing like having her purge her clothes so that the more skin she shows, the better she's able to wield awesome songs of destruction.

Traded in Black Ops today and picked up Killzone 3. I was kinda getting sick of playing hyper realistic shooters. I just wasn't having as much fun was COD lately. The classes are more balanced compared to MW2, but they need to find a way to balance the skill of players in matches. As for Killzone 3, it's taking me some time to get used to guys not dying in 1 or 2 shots. Multiplayer seems more enjoyable. I might not have the best kill/death ratio, but i can still thrive as a medic or engineer.

I popped in Lost Odyssey for the first time in a year; I have absolutely NO idea where I am in the story and spent a half hour wandering around before turning it off.

It's pretty awesome in Final Fantasy X when you get the second Jecht shot. Luca Goers don't stand a chance after that. Of course, you have to wait a while to get that.

Just finished the Citizen Brown episode of the BTTF game. It's probably the best episode of the series as the story really gets rolling and there are some interesting puzzles. It's improved every single episode.

I have discovered the one MMORPG I can really get behind: Dead Frontier. It's free to join, browser-based (though it requires the installation of the Unity3 web player), and plays more like Diablo or Diablo II than it does WOW or anything like that.

Got Vanquish for really cheap ($15). Kind of a Japanese version of Gears of War with robots. Actually really fun.

I'm trying to see how games run on my netbook. The answer: not well. Only Freedom Force seems to not chug along.

I picked up Enslaved and Mortal Kombat last weekend. Been playing through campaign of Mortal Kombat and digging it. I have tomorrow off, so I might sink a few hours into Enslaved then.

Behind on a ton of games, as always. Messing around with Arcania: Gothic 4 today. Only trying it because the other night Amazon had it on sale for $18 and it was trading in for $19. You get a week to trade it so I figured try it for a few days and get paid $1.

Fallout 3 GOTY, got over 60 hours in and still haven't finished the main storyline of the original game or touched any of the expansion content

I got too impatient with Fallout 3. Really enjoyed it, but got sick of playing it so I just starting motoring through the story missions until I beat the game.

I kinda got the same way about New Vegas. The world just wasn't as interesting than Fallout 3 and I didn't really have the urge to explore so I just powered through the story and probably won't play it again for a long while.

Played Golden Axe III on that Sonic UGC. Some great Engrish here. Level names like "Tender Hamlet", "Dim Jungle", and "A Voyage To Castle". Best part: When you die, it shows you your path through the game, and ends with AND YOU DEAD. Brilliant.

I just cleared, for the first time, every possible quest in Fallout 3. Uninstalled, done with it forever.

Vanquish is fucking awesome. It's a shame it didn't make more money because it's a damn good action game that more people should know about. Pretty short, but it was right to the point. Absolutely no filler. Just non stop destruction.

I booted up Persona 4 for like the first time since forever. I just remembered why I hadn't played it in like forever.

Each persona has an elemental weakness usually attatched to it. I just had my first death because of that, wiping out all my progress in the second dungeon I had made. Needless to say, I forgot the Persona series requires strategy to play.

I finished Enslaved : Odyssey to the West yesterday. I really liked parts of it, but it just didn't seem to come together. After a while, I was wishing I was playing a better platformer like one of the Uncharted games. It was good for a $20 pick up, but I can't see myself compelled to play it again.

Got HAWX 2 from GameFly. Terrible game; the controls just seem so loose compared to the first one. Lining up a plane for a shot is a fucking bitch and I think I've played like 4 "control a UAV and slowly bomb things" sequences about an hour into the game.

Fucking thing took four days to get here, too.

I've mentioned before that I'm a sucker for licensed games and usually am ok with crappy movie tie-in games. I started playing the new Green Lantern game. I was surprised how much vie enjoyed it for the first two levels. I've been playing it on the hardest difficulty and going through until the third mission. There are these things draining the energy source where essentially you have a slew of villains to beat where I kept working on the last one until the time expired. After finally getting through that, I ran through another chunk of the level until having to face two or the most difficult enemies (yet) at the same time. The best I've done is 43% remaining. One time I cornered the two of them (which is challenging because they are much larger), got them down to 60% without any damage to myself and then got hit with a laser trying to let my weapon recharge and killed in one hit. The problem is the fights aren't challenging, just irritating, so where I would've actually told people it was worth a rent before, I'm quickly souring on it.
