Beat Deja Vu (NES) for the first time. Now I got Faxanadu in.

I beat Deja Vu back in the day. Easier than Shadowgate cause you're not on as much of a time limit.

I can't tell you how many times I used to get the "you have no more candles left, you stumble around in the darkness until you die" death.

Got bored and downloaded Sims 3...I forgot how much I suck at these games. I don't see how people are able to do all the stuff in em, my sims day is basically taking care of the basic needs<food, hygene, etc> It's basically wake up, do those things, go to work, do those things again, and by the time I'm finished he's exhausted so I have to have him sleep. Wake up, and repeat.

Never thought I'd get back into it, but.. World of Warcraft. Amazed at how much easier it is to level up now. I've gotten to level 50 within 2 weeks (no marathon play-sessions, either) whereas when I played it a few years back it took me almost 3 months to get to that point..

Yeah, on top of the lowered xp needed for lower levels, with Cat they really streamlined the questing in the old world, no more having to travel to one side of the world for a turn in only to have to turn back around and go all the way back to the other side for the next part.

Yeah I'd noticed that too - a much appreciated change. I also love how they've worked content from the expansions into quests for previous versions. I only have up to Burning Crusade installed but I've done a few quests where Deathwing makes an appearance - and all of the map has been changed to reflect Cataclysm (even though I don't have it). It's pretty cool.

Been playing through Beyond Good and Evil HD. I love the game, but the camera can test your patience. Also been leveling up in War for Cyberton to get a few multi-player trophies. Lastly, I've been putting some time into Borderlands. Can't same I'm going to try to complete the game, but once you level up a bit, it get's very fun. It would be nice if you could ignore some quests after you pick them up. Seems like I have 4 or 5 quests that are Trivial at this point, and I'm only on level 21.

I downloaded Age of Empires Online. It's pretty cool. I'm not sure if it's $20 per civilization cool (or $100 for everything cool) though.

One trophy away from being done with Kingdom Hearts re:coded. I'm sure the extra ending won't be worth the hassle.

Started playing Final Fantasy XIV since it's still free. Like it so far, but I haven't learned shit yet so we'll see if it's still enjoyable when I know what the fuck I'm doing. Music is good at least.

Finally remembered that I was starting the last world in Kingdom Hearts II when I put it away, so I dug it out and beat it this morning. Fun game but I'm not sure I'd think so if it weren't for the Disney tie-in.

Broke out NCAA 2007 for the PS2 today since the PS2 was already hooked up and I'm too cheap to buy NCAA 12 right now. Decided to try Campus Legend and the best they'd give me was Iowa State. Don't think I'm going too far with it as I really don't want to play four years as a Cyclone.

Just finished Infamous 2, as a hero. The final boss was way too easy, especially compared to the last boss of the previous game. But it was a pretty cool ending. Gonna play through this again as a bad guy, but I'd like to play another game first.

Gonna try out that Catherine demo. That reminds me, I STILL have to finish Persona 3 FES.

While waiting for MK, I'm playing Fallout 3 again. I think the thing this has over New Vegas is that it does a much better job sucking you into its world. The story is about you discovering a new world and the people in it. The whole faction thing in NV just didn't work for me.

And AOE Online has become a fun way to spend 30-60 minutes every day.

I would give this a try, but I'm ankle-deep in Spiral Knights and neck-deep in League of Legends.

Free-to-play games are expensive, but their currency is time.

When I played the original on SNES and PSX, I hated the Order route, because it seemed stupid, at the time, that I would be a willing participant in something ethically questionable. Yet, on the PSP version of Tactics Ogre, I have a hard time convincing myself that I would have taken the Chaos route. The Order route makes more sense, and if I was in Denam's position, I probably would've went along with it now.

There's few things that I don't like about LUCT:

1) Bows are still damn overpowered - It makes sense in that archers are pretty much the nukers, but when anyone can equip a single hand cross/bow and cross/bow skill, you've got the enemy mowed down before it matters.

2) Daggers usually have the best stats - It makes almost no sense to equip any other weapon, when daggers often have the best stats. And just like the bow, most classes can equip it.

3) Crafted Healing Items Make Clerics/Priests useless - Would you try building up a healer and have a dedicated class to healing, or would you rather just give your archers single hand bows and item lobbers and let them lob +150 healing items so that they can heal and damage?

4) Crafting Itself - You can only craft one item, at a time, and when they get better there's a good chance of failing.

I've been making sure I don't do the first 3 just so that I can enjoy the game.

I got Split/Second from Blockbuster. I really like it so far. I love the reality show premise, the controls are tight and fun and it looks really good. It's really too bad that Disney closed the studio that made this because they've made some awesome racing games (they also made Pure, IIRC).

I'm playing SimCity for SNES. I really like the music in game and the changing of seasons. No Sim City since has had the landscape change with dates.

That game is awesome. I was never good enough to get a population of 500,000 though, I usually topped out at 150-200k. Plus the music starts to suck at I think 100k. Agreed that the music is great early on though.

I'm ranging from 85K-100K. People are complaining about the crime and I keep building police stations. I'm aiming for about 200k because I'm creating a lot of park land.

I can never get above 150,000 or so in Sim City. I never want to pollute my city with industrial...but I have to. Even putting them on the outskirts doesn't work for me. And yeah, great music.

Still playing Madden 11. In my conquest to defeat All-Madden once and for good, I've decided to play every single game of my 5th season with the Lions, with a beast wide receiver corps, and an all-pro linebacking core. So far I'm 5-0 with the greatest victory ever, trailing 35-14 to the super unstoppable Dallas Cowboys (apparently they're invincible on offense in All-Madden). A few quarters later, and I come back to defeat them 48-47 like a fucking boss.

I downloaded Renegade Ops on XBLA. It's from the same guys that did Just Cause and it shows because shit blows up real good. It has 4 player online co-op which I haven't tried yet but the quick look Giant Bomb did makes it look like a blast.

Playing Street Hoops again, and damn if that game isn't frustrating at first. You simply cannot win in the game if you don't purchase the And 1 guys, because later teams run you off the court. I was good enough to win enough money through betting to complete max out a CAP. I placed him at power forward and now we wreck shit on a regular basis.

This game while frustrating in the extreme was so much better than And 1 Streetball. Streetball looks a lot better but there's an over-reliance on dribble moves or break down your opponent. I want to be able to play a relatively regular game of basketball with the extras thrown in.

Someone mentioned Live '96... that remains my favorite basketball game of all time. I played the hell out of the Genesis version back in the day, and the massive roster of legends present and past was genius.

Driver: San Francisco may be in my top 10 games list at the end of the year. I'm stunned at how much I enjoy this game. The Shift mechanic is a genius way to both freshen up things and make an open world-ish game while still focusing on what makes the Driver series good (the lack of focus on driving is what crippled the last few games). And it actually makes sense in the story!

You SNES Sim City people need to learn how to build donuts, drop police/fire/etc in the middle of them, and put only one piece of road in the center section of the outside of every square and make the rest park land. Traffic is never an issue even with barely any roads (great little glitch), the parks and police/fire make everyone happy, and just alternate between R and C and then throw the Is on an outskirt with power with park in between them and the R and C clusters of donuts. With what room is left over thanks to water build everything else necessary.

Hold on, this is relevant to my interests.

So, in a donut cluster, I only need one tiny section of road to connect it to another cluster?
