Wrestling audio or podcasts

The Nash podcast is centered around CM Punk comeback talk. You will be very unhappy if you listen to it. Might I suggest Between the Sheets on May 1992 instead?
downloaded BTS for later.... went WILD CARD BITCHES and am listening to Bob Costas on Bill Maher's pod.

Gotta say that Kurt Fuller being just The No Holds Barred Guy kinda hurts. In my heart he's forever Ed Harlow on Newsradio.

Roday is one of those guys I just like despite the fervent douchechills. I'd watch this play.

Fuller was the same character in everything. I think he might've been a wacky doctor one time.

Dude is still working a lot (he’s a regular on that weird Paramount+ show Evil so you can’t even say he’s trying to play to the wrestling crowd as a weird career Hail Mary.

He's the right kinda guy to just move into the meme phase of his career. Like he knows what people know him for and ask him about all the time, just appeal to the new crowd. Even if that isn't the intention.

Janela should book him.

Fuller had Elvira, Red Heat, True Believer, NHB, and Ghostbusters 2 all in 88/89. Not bad for a working character actor

He worked steady for years as the same guy, which is admirable. Guys like that deserve appreciation in some form.

We better get a Mark L. Taylor reappraisal and appreciation one day.

Peter Winson popped me on GFA Live by suggesting Sherri's brew here led to the pre-mature deaths of all involved in the skit.

Corny's weekend pod started with a 45ish min segment on televangelists. It was easily the best part of the show. After that we got 3+ hours of modern wrestling talk. They taped the pod after Dynamite, but did not bother to review it when it was "fresh", canning it so the show can be almost a week old by today's release.
They played audio from Bryan Danielson from AEW's press scrum where he kept forgetting the questions asked before he could answer them. Perhaps there was something to his brain doctors benching him years ago.

Foley's show was about One Night Stand 2006 this week. He still seems pissed that Vince killed his angle with Dreamer/Funk/Edge. I remember thinking that could have been so much better. Foley wanted Vince to be part of the angle and have Funk bite Vince's ass under the guise of kissing it. Know he's told this story before but pissed Foley is much more entertaining than content oh shucks Mick.

Good lord Foley was only 41 there. Maybe he should have heeded that advice about his bumping shortening his career.

Paul Heyman did a three and a half hour interview for Rick Rubin’s new podcast

Nash is covering the NWO this week. I didn't get into the meat of the topic yet but they open the pod with a story about Kevin Sullivan in his jock strap washing his gear in a sink as Sean Oliver mills about between shoots. Whoever is in the living room area of the hotel room is talking about the NWO, prompting Sullivan to start shouting about how Sean Waltman was the key to the NWO working.
Nash then says "Look at it this way, the only WCW name we lost was Sean Waltman and we signed Bret Hart and we lost the war...What does that tell you about Sean?"
I think that Austin guy had something to do with it.

Nash is now sharing naked Iron Sheik stories about him doing lines of coke while standing on his head.

@BruiserBrody drunken flex

Don't listen to the Nash podcast today.
Oliver's Sullivan story was the peak of the show. The actual NWO topic boiled down to "It was Eric's idea, I wasn't all in on the idea at first. We knew when Hogan was added it was going to be big money. Hogan sucked up merch money. I liked driving with Hall and Waltman all over."
Then it switched to the modern day and Nash spent 5 mins plus complaining about how the new WWE merch company may have cut him out of the NWO money, which goes against his contract. The wrestlers Nash asked around reported a 50 percent merch drop as the WWE tried to build up their numbers for the sale.

Nash's main topic appears to be modern day AEW so violent FFWDing will be in my future.

Pretty eye rolling first 8 mins as they cover the Titan sub situation....but they taped this last Wed so they are talking about the banging sounds and how there is still hope. FFS.

I don't get why they do this live to tape, with their paid subscribers watching and chatting on Wed, and then let it sit in the tank for 5 days. Conrad has 29 pods, so they are going to step on something regardless.

Oh i was just making an observation. I can't talk about how Ronnie Garvin should've been in the nWo now.
