Well I just encountered my first game breaking bug. Was facing Mark Henry, and we were both outside the ring when I attempted to do one of my ground grapples on him, the Ultimate Warrior's Big Splash. Only, when my guy went to go bounce off the ropes, there were no ropes to bounce off of, due to us being outside the ring, so he just ran into the ringside barricade...and kept running and running and running. Meanwhile Mark Henry couldn't get up, because I was still mid animation for the move that was never going to happen, so we both got counted out. Good job Yukes!

I might redo him anyway, I wasn't too happy with my initial run through the NXT part and am thinking of just starting over.

I was super happy with my initial run through the NXT part, just because it showed how little what you do in this game really matters. In those initial first four matches to prove yourself, I went and got intentionally DQed at the beginning of all of them, and still wound up getting the #1 contenders match.

Pleasantly surprised to hear this in the game as Sting '91's theme. I know they've gotten pretty good at picking the right theme for the right year the past few games but I guess I expected them to not try with Sting. Entrance jacket is awesome too.

This game can eat a dick on that Backlash 2003 six-man tag. I had to practically murder Booker T and HBK then I managed to score a fluke pin on Kevin Nash after a solid 30 minutes of aggravation. Flair and Jericho wouldn't bother to run off interference from the other team until after they had already broken up a pin attempt.

You know, it is amazing how much older Vince gets in these clips, the older the games get.

Even better is that Shut Your Mouth has probably the best look alike.

Wow, tag team matches are the fucking worst in this game. Seriously, they never stop trying to break the pin and your teammate is never on time to stop them from doing so.

Yea, it kinda sucks. You basically have to get used to correctly timing your finisher, and then changing to your partner and coming in and stopping the person yourself.

Typically I'll just used a charged finisher (As the CPU tends to pin after a finisher anyway) and just come in the ring and attack the partner while the other opponent is just getting hit with a finisher.

Pretty sad considering the AKI games from 15 years ago not only had your partner break up pins, but even running on the apron to get in a better position to do so.

Yeah normally the d-pad does it, right?

I think in my limited playing (which I have enjoyed - mechanics are fun, 2K Showcase is well produced and made me want to re-watch MITB 2011 soon) that it might be an ability, as I noticed in MyCareer that "Manager Distraction" is a chosen ability now.

Yeah usually it was the dpad, or one of the bumpers plus the dpad.. now it does nothing. It's kind of frustrating.. I'd rather not have to do the old No Mercy thing of always having to knock the partner off the apron in order to get a pinfall.

So, I've picked this up second-hand... what exactly does the Showcase Season pass get me? Paige, the Accelerator... what are these new Showcase bundles? Do I get any new DLC for free?

There are two or three more Showcase modes planned down the line, similar to the Punk vs Cena and HHH vs HBK modes. It gets you all of those, but it doesn't get you the extra wrestlers that are coming in their own DLC packs.
