I had/have a lot of fun with WWE 2K14. Once I realized there were some extremely accurate CAWs online, it took me no time to fill out the 100 slots and it was as if I had a new game in a lot of ways.

Even many of the arenas posted online are tremendous. There's a WCW Saturday Night 1994-96 arena to die for on PS3.

So they prettied up the graphics again, are keeping the awful "HOLD THIS BUTTON AND IT DOESN'T ALWAYS WORK" pinning system, and it seems they're once again limiting the number of moves you have at your disposal?

If it's anything like how I've read, isn't tap+direction (weak) or hold+direction (strong) just like the AKI games as far as grapples go?

In addition to the roster, Renee Young gave the WWE Universe an extra treat by announcing at the panel that WWE's developmental brand, NXT, will be featured in WWE 2K15's myCareer mode. Players will start their career in WWE NXT and have to work their way up the ranks against WWE's brightest prospects in order to make it to the stages of Raw, SmackDown and beyond.

WWE 2K15 is not yet rated by the ESRB and is currently scheduled for release on October 28, 2014, in North America and October 31, 2014, internationally.

It seems like there really isn't much roster change from year-to-year in these games anymore. Makes me wish they would just release a game every other year.

Interesting to note: WWE.com's list has Booker, Flair & Nash - but none of them are on 2K's list.

Future DLC content maybe? I remember the WWE let that slip once.
And I guess the only way to get Sting and Hogan is to order the Hulkamania edition? So I guess they will be put up in like January?

You can get Sting with any pre-order (regular or Hogan edition), Hogan himself only comes with the Hogan edition, apparently. But yeah I'd wager that January is about when those will pop up for $1.99 on the store.

I got to admit, the Hogan edition is a pretty great detail considering that Funko style Hogan would go for 10-15, his autograph could be anywhere from 30 to 100 depending on where you go and what type of crowd you want to deal with and you got the game which is 60 flat anyway.

I hope it sells poorly though so I can get it on discount. If that thing goes on sale Black Friday for 60, I may jump it just for all the extras.

I upgraded to that edition, mainly for the DLC, but also because I know I can probably ebay the "collector" contents to at least make back some of the money I'm dropping on it. I might keep the Funko thing, though, for my desk at work.

There's a rivalry mode where you go through the HHH/HBK rivalry and the Cena/Punk one. Apparently unlockables are tied to hitting "historic objectives" in the matches, meaning you'll likely just go through it like a damn robotic checklist and stop actually having fun with them, just like every other time they put that feature in a WWE game.

If you're going to get a season pass anyway, do it. But don't reward them with extra money because they made a (probably) shitty mode.

I always get the season pass anyway, just saves time and money. The DLC characters have been solid and so have the moves that come with them.

I'm not one for season passes myself. Hell I very rarely even get DLC. Trials Fusion was the first game that I ever prepurchased a season pass for...so of course when the first DLC pack hit I literally couldn't download it for days after it came out, and still don't have it (due to not being able to access my PS4)

So, lesson learned on my side, I guess.

I'll probably get the season pass depending on the downloadable wrestlers. I try to unlock everything but I got fed up with WrestleMania 22 in the 30 Years of WrestleMania mode last year so I was happy to have the unlock everything option.
