Any new Fire Pro is good, but I don't have a 360 and don't plan on getting one. Based on the early screen shots of the game, it looks like it will be pretty cartoony.

If only "Fire Pro HD" had been real. *sigh*

Anyway, hopefully at the very least this new Fire Pro game will sell well and lead to Spike coming out with a "real" Fire Pro game eventually.

REAL TALK: I would love nothing more than a downloadable Fire Pro game that can be played online against others. That would own so hard! HD sprites would be even better, of course, or even cell-shaded 3D that looks 2D.

Right now, I'm playing Here Comes The Pain. Man, this game is still awesome. It doesn't matter that the season mode repeats itself. Tajiri is feuding with Rey Mysterio, Ultimo Dragon and Jericho right now and we're headlining Survivor Series in Madison Square Garden in a 6 man elimination tag match. There's nothing better than busting somebody open from a Buzzsaw Kick. But I guess the last time I played this was a really long time ago when I liked Matt Hardy because he was the WHC, US, Cruiserweight AND Tag Team champion. Embarrassing. Anyway, I made sure for him to lose all of those belts in matches with other wrestlers. Although Benoit as WHC champ right now is a little weird too haha.

I'm looking forward to the Fire Pro Wrestling game. I've never played Fire Pro so I really just want to try it out to see how I like it. Is there anymore details about the game other than the Avatar news?

Nada. Though, pending gameplay, I wouldn't base your opinion on the series on this game. Also, outside of the awesome in-depth gameplay and customizations, for me half of the charm of the Fire Pro series are the 2D sprites and art style.

I'm looking forward to the Fire Pro Wrestling game. I've never played Fire Pro so I really just want to try it out to see how I like it.

Go get yourself a SNES emulator, and download Super Fire Pro Wrestling X Premium. Play with that for a bit to see what you think of it; Firepro games all have the exact same control scheme (with new moves/positions to do moves added sometimes) so that'll give you a good idea of the game.

And yes, it's ALL. ABOUT. TIMING. Play on the easiest difficulty at first, and when the characters lock up, then you try for your move. Do it like that until you have an idea of when you need to try for your move, then turn the difficulty up.

And yeah, the 360 version looks pretty damned cartoony, but hell, Fire Pro's been somewhat cartoony, graphics-wise, since like, forever, so I think I could forgive it. I'm more confused about the fact that it looks 3D, honestly.

If anything I hope it does well so that it shows Spike that they still have a market for this franchise. I'd even settle for a Wii style redux of one of the older games a la NBA Jam and GoldenEye.
