NEW! SmackDown vs Raw 2011: Improvements Hands-On
I actually kind of like the standing groggy = power moves idea. At first I was put off because in the current games they don't stay in that state for very long, especially after you've picked them up off the mat. Looks like they compensated for that this year. Nice! Love the flow of the match, too. Looked like a pretty competitive affair vs the CPU. Might just take that advice and up myself to Legend difficulty off the bat, too. I usually start on Hard, anyway.

I hope they did away with the revolving camera from the last three games. It makes navigating the outside pretty difficult when you have to stop for a moment to remember which direction you're heading in due to the camera switching from the announce tables on the right to directly in front of you.

One of the rumors floating around the boards is that since Goldberg was working on a merch deal with WWE not too long ago that he may be one of the as of yet unrevealed Legends in this years game. Did anything ever come from that deal?

I maintain that '06 has been the best one yet. It had similar controls to HCTP while reducing much of the problems that plagued the first SVR and wasn't so complex and punch/kick oriented as '07 was while keeping a larger moveset per character than '08, '09, or '10. At least '10 got rid of much of the problems that plagued '08 and '07, and if '11 comes anywhere near the hype that it's been getting? It's going to be a must-have.

Fuck, the only reason I ever picked up '08 was because I wanted to be able to play as the Sandman in a non-Acclaim game.

Its like Venkman said with the age. He was in a battle royal this summer although I am blanking on exactly what the purpose of the battle royal was (I think it was the one Mysterio one for Undertaker's spot at Fatal 4 Way after his injury). I think the cutoff from the roster was around Wrestlemania time, then titles and stuff they work on afterwards (seeing they have champions from mid-summer and guys like Shad look pre-Wrestlemania but has his post-heel turn music from the end of the spring) which was when he was last actively on TV. If I remember right he had been on TV, did the pre-show battle royal at Wrestlemania then was taken off from there (until his random battle royal appearance in the middle of the summer).
