Also, word has it that the AAA game (released today) does in fact have tag team matches which is contrary to what was initially reported. Points for, I guess.

That's right! WCW arena in pack #2! I hope it's the Nitro set!

Should note that new copies of the game come with a code for what is essentially DLC pack #0: Chris Masters and alternate attires for Kelly Kelly & Rey.
Well, yes and no.

Yes, it'll be a Nitro arena.

But it won't be the classic one. It'll be this one.

So you have to pay to have the ability to give your CAW unlimited points? That seems like a ripoff.

I think that's just for the real wrestlers.

Why? It's something fans have been demanding for a long time now. It's a pain in the ass to have to go through a career season or two just to get a CAW of, say, AJ Styles up to snuff? A lot of people want to make a CAW and have them be good from the get-go. If it's just a slightly updated version of the 2010 model, there's no way you can go about, say, 94 or 95 in total XP.

I'm hoping the Royal Rumble mechanics veer a little closer to LofWM in that if someone is worn out enough they can be casually chucked out of the ring without a mini-game. That or gathering finishers doesn't take like 10 minutes.

Also, is there anyone to keep an eye out for who uploads really good CAWs? I'd rather just grab them than labor through making them myself.

Zurick (or Zurich) is a good one. Always crazy realistic.

I stand corrected on the points thing. That's cool then if you can customize the wrestlers attributes like that.

That Maryse design is HORRIBLE. It looks nothing like her and the camera isn't right because it doesn't zoom in on her face as she flips her hair back. Oh well, it's not that I'd be using her in the game anyway.

Better than the CAW they used for the Bragging Rights promo last night.

Damn, is that the in-game model of Barrett? That looks sick as hell, and almost photographic. These games get more realistic every year.

It's essentially an artists enhanced version of the render that they'd use in the character select menu. The actual in game models aren't quite that sharp.. though it would be awesome if they were.

Well, the Barrett character model at least looks good. Not so much, SnukaRaven. Hell, throw a black top hat on there and you have Slash.

Just watched the maryse intro. Something really bothers me about the SD games and it is complete nitpicking.

The hair. In this day and age tell me THQ dont know how to program hair so it moves in respect to its length/if it hits the shoulders etc.

Its been the same since smackdown 1.

Word on the street (Marcus Stephenson's Twitter) is that the Undertaker alt attire that's included with DLC pack 2 is not going to be the Ministry outfit that is a pre-order bonus, but rather a different attire. It'll probably be his classic look but I'm really hoping for Big Evil Biker Taker with short hair and all.

Here's a bit of idiotic news..

Marcus Stephenson said:
There was a call made to make titles "meaningful" this year, and for that reason you can only defend titles (WWE, Heavyweight, Women's, Divas, Unified Tag (both belts), Intercontinental, and US titles in PPV matches via WWE Universe.

The unlockable titles can be defended at anytime (even in Universe), but the rankings aren't attached to those belts.

It's not a deal breaker for me, and I honestly don't even mind that defenses are limited to the Universe mode.. but only at PPV's? Lame.

I actually don't mind this. Even in EWR and TEW, I almost never booked title defences on free TV.
