You're SO ANGRY at this game that you're waiting until you can spend more money on it before you get rid of it?

Makes perfect sense to me.

I bought that Fan Axxess thing, it's already paid for.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that nonsense.

Yeah what a bunch of bullshit! Offering us all of the DLC for one package price and at a discount too!

I just think DLC as a whole is bullshit. Never bought any of it, and never will.

Interesting choice for "retro" Cena gear.

But nevermind that shit! Here comes MONGO HOLLYWOOD!

That makes me want to see an actual match with them, versus buying a game.

I guess someone decided it was better than seeing black bars on the sides of the screen? I'm glad widescreen movies don't do that with the tops and bottoms.

I think the Nitro arena is up for DL now.

Yes. Just a reminder, not sure about 360, but if you're on PS3 - after you download the new content, do not back out to the main menu. Hit the PS button and quit the game and then restart it. There is a bug, that they still haven't fixed, that will fuck all of your superstar thread edits and reset them back to default.

I guess that is why I didn't lose the data as I just did all the downloads and then quit after I was done.

wweallstars.com is starting to have videos on the roster pages.

So far only Hogan, Savage and Rock are up.

I think this is the first WWE game that Hogan actually tears the shirt off in.

I think he did in SD:SYM, but it was oddly animated (like, the tearing motion started and then the next shot was him throwing the shirt).

Edit: Well that's wrong, though further research (which I have no video of) reveals I was remembering Mania XIX for Gamecube.

Yeah. Not sure why but it's only out for PSN in the States & Canada. Apparently Euros didn't get it and no one on 360 got it. It's supposed to come next week for them, FWIW.

I get giving Bikertaker a separate slot, given the entirely different entrance/moveset, but does changing the color of John Cena's shirt really warrant a whole new model?

The Nitro arena is as good as you'd expect.

Checked the WWE All Stars site again.

Apparently Triple H has the DX attire.

Well, that pretty much confirms Shawn Michaels is in the game...but as far as Legends and Superstars...

<Heenan>Whose side is he on!?

Who ever at THQ thought it was a good idea to make the Mexcools vs UT/Kane as a challenge needs to be fired. That's way worse than TNA's Story mode.

I gave Super Crazy the RKO as a finisher and he rko'ed Kane about 3 times and pinned him. Then Taker tombstoned me and I was ko'ed and then Psychosis hit the guillotine leg drop for the win. It only took like a dozen tries.

Any news on the Aki team being hired to develop anything else? I'm still waiting for a decent follow-up to Def Jam FFNY (which is better than every SVR since '06 and you all know it). Again, why doesn't Midway (or whoever has the TNA license) contact them to develop a game for them? It'll be an instant seller in the wrestling game market due solely to its engine, plus the addition of a TNA game that doesn't completely suck would be welcomed.

Corey, FFNY didn't even have a pinfall system, so you can't even compare it to SVR games. Not even the same genre anymore at that point. The new All Stars game, maybe. I played FFNY for about 15 minutes and traded it in, I've gotten way more out of SVR 2009, 10 & 11.

FFNY was a blend of wrestling and fighting, but enough of it was grapple-based that I can safely call it a wrestling game. Vendetta was the same way, with the typical Aki system we all know and love but the only way to win was by submission or KO.

Dammit, FFNY doesn't get enough love!

I loved Vendetta, but I don't remember too much about FFNY. I know I definitely did not get as much play out of it as I did Vendetta. Then there was that Icon one that screwed up the franchise, right? I didn't try that one but didn't it have Paul Wall in it?

Yeah, the third Def Jam game was bad. It was half-assed, they fucked with the controls, and they tried to take the game into an interesting direction (where the tempo and beat of the background music affected the gameplay itself) but didn't do that good a job of it.

The one thing I did like about FFNY was the detail you could put into your created fighter.

FFNY was awesome and the last wrestling game I have enjoyed. Sure there were no pins, but it still was pretty much a wrestling game.
