Guys why are we even fighting about this. Everyone already knows WCW Backstage Assault is the best wrestling game of all time.

The wrestling game whose actual name makes you think of sodomy.

Incidentally, games I never really thought about this generation would be the UFC titles. I don't actually watch it, but how are the games? I haven't played any since Dreamcast.

UFC 09 was excellent considering it's a first foray. UFC 2010 looks even better. EA MMA looks like a typical EA first foray, where they did everything they could to make it look good & god only knows how it's going to play.

Yeah, the motions are pretty fighting game-specific which kicked my ass because I'm not one for fighters, but once you have them down it's second nature.

I was actually just trying to make a joke (because in Mexico they just leave the ring and their partner is legal, no tag, right?)

Yes that's true. I think. I blame the internet for me not knowing when someone is joking or serious. :p

Any lucha game where you can't have six man tag matches seems pretty pointless to me.

WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross recently commented on his official blog that he will be working on a new WWE video game from THQ in which he will be commentating alongside fellow Hall of Famer Jerry "The King" Lawler. The theme of this new game will be WWE Legends going head-to-head with the Superstars of today. J.R. stated that the concept that was explained to him was "really cool", and he will begin doing voice-over work sometime within the next few weeks.

hmmm...No Hogan, No Flair and No Foley due to being in TNA. I wonder if they'll put Savage in since they released his DVD.

Yeah, no tag and it moves sluggish as shit and the collusion detection looks like it is in the toilet. It's like if you took TNA impact, took away more moves and features and then just left a bare bones mound of rotting flesh.

Such a damn disappointment.

I love the commentary. It's hilarious. I should watch AAA again. But yeah, game looks pretty rough. So disappointed.

There's plenty of legends that are still associated with WWE. You could have Shawn Michaels or the Undertaker or HHH. Everyone would love to see them battle current stars!

Honestly though, it will probably be a similar roster to the Legends of Wrestlemania sans Hogan and Flair (Foley got cut from the first game). I won't hold my breath on Savage but I'd imagine with them doing stuff with him in the past year we'd at least get Steamboat this time around.

I think I'm still going to buy the AAA game despite the no tag/trios thing. As bad as the collision detection looks in that video, I've actually heard that the game controls are pretty good.

I might give it the TNA Impact treatment but 60 dollars for that? No way man.
I hate saying that because I really REALLY want a Lucha game to succeed but the tremendous lack of effort in what I'm seeing is utterly disgusting. It's not Backyard Wrestling bad but it's below TNA Impact.

As for the WWE legends, they still have enough to be entertaining. I just did get SvR2010 though and I don't see me needing another wrestling game for a bit, really surprised with that game.

Also, apparently the WWE Superstars vs Legends game is supposed to be super over the top..

WrestleCrap Forums said:
I am not lying when I say this. I did a survey on the comptuter for this focus group I am apart of. I saw a 30 second action clip of the sequal to Legends Of wrestlemania. This time though, they are going back to the days of wrestlemania the arcade game. I swear to god the description I read said, WWE meets Nba Jam with fluid, fastpaced arcade style action with over the top, versions of there finishing moves. You will only have 30-40 playable characters. The roster will be split with legends/superstars. Some of the names being tossed around were

WWE Superstars vs Legends
WWE Legends vs Superstars
WWE Mayhem(I am not making this up, I swear to god)
WWE Slam
WWE Classic

The clip I saw showed the Rock delivering a rockbottom to the Undertaker that was like 40 feet in the air. There was also a clip oif undertaker doing a super skyhigh tombestone to Rey mysterio except 'Taker did a sit out version and didn't land on his knees. Little to say, I wasn't very pleased.

Be on the lookout, as I beileve I am not suppoed to discusss this.

Edit- I forgot to note that isn't like WWE wrestlemania the Arcade game and In your house with projectiles and that crap.

So it's just a 3D IYH and Wrestlemania WITHOUT the projectiles?
You knew the kid friendly shit was going to strike the games eventually and well...

Oh yeah, there's no way I'm paying full price for it (AAA). I mean eventually.. when it's at least half of what a new game costs.

I feel like a fool now for selling Raw vs SD 2010. If this news turns out to be true, I may have to buy my old copy back.

This new game isn't replacing the main series, though. There'll still be an SDvR 2011.

My fav wrestling game of all time is WCW/nWo Revenge on N64. Tons of characters, and the battle royal mode was fucking excellent.
