God, those old N64 games still to this day have some of the best gameplay imaginable. Sure the graphics are dated as hell, but you can still tell who everyone is supposed to be. No Mercy's only glaring flaw still remains the horrific frame rate during tag matches.

No mercy was outstanding. I think my last roster update was around 2005. Being able to customise the wrasslers looks completely and not just palate swap is something the need to look at for 2013.

I believe the original excuse for that was the custom attires / bodies for CAWs didn't have the same level of detail or rendering as an official character in the game did, but as of '12 it seems pretty damn close and shouldn't be a problem.

RAW 2 was a significant improvement, but still a shitty game. The first Raw especially had some very impressive graphics for it's time, but the gameplay sucked ass. One thing about Raw 2 that pissed me off was screwing up something as simple as Goldberg's signature pin after hitting the Jackhammer. Something that N64 games got right 5 years earlier.

I recently found my old copy of No Mercy. I took it upon myself to update some of the wrestlers to resemble their current looks as best as I could, given the limited options. it's pretty unbelievable how many of these guys are rocking the "generic bald head with facial hair" look now.

I've been playing the championship mode on No Mercy. I would just like to point out the utter pile of motherfucking bull fuck that is triple threats and two on one handicap matches. I like how they made Chyna the absolute bringer of death here. Not only can she block/counter just about anything but her attacks are insanely overpowered.

If your guy has a sleeper hold in his arsenal, use that repeatedly while turning yourself so the other guy can't break the hold. Obviously, other submission holds work, too, if you are able to position yourself correctly. That's usually my strategy.

I forgot which Championship Mode it was but I hated fighting the APA backstage. One of them attacks you while the other one taunts and gets his Attitude meter full.

Spam weapon throws (pick up chair, toss at opponents), running attacks, and quick grapples. That's how I've always done it.

Yeah, I remember this one was ridiculously difficult. I remember Bradshaw a big nemesis for me in WM 2000 when I took Brian Christopher to the WWF title (hey, I grew up with USWA stuff). He kicked my ass in a cage match that put Vader-Sting @ the 1992 GAB to shame.

I always hated the Wrestlemania 2000 Royal rumble match. If i wanted to unlock HBK i had to win that fucker and it took me about 4 years to learn the "leapfrog/liedown" upon an irish whip return lead to your opponent falling through the ropes for an easy close line elimination.

I remember in No Mercy, Bradshaw was my #1 choice for the Rumble. I would spam the Bradshaw hammer and Clothesline from Hell for a lot of fast eliminations.

When is WrestleFest coming out for Android phones? I'm at work and all the sites I could check to see are blocked.

I think it was No Mercy where I equipped my quys with a leg sweep (the one Saturn has in Revenge IIRC) that doesn't really get countered so it's perfect for Rumbles. There's a top-rope spinwheel kick that was similar that I would spam the fuck out of in 3 ways and it made things really easy.

Has anyone here beat Survival mode and got all 100 eliminations by yourself? I've heard that there's secret unlockables if you do this. The best I've done is 95 or 96

I was also to get 100% in all 7 championship modes before the dreaded bug wiped it all out

An employee discount from Shane Douglas is better than being friends with John Cena. All the latter gets you is months of jobbing, being attacked by Kane in increasingly more ludicrous ways, and having your girlfriend kick you in the balls in the middle of a stadium.
