Yeah, they seem to have just said fuck it and gave up to start work on WWE 13. Which I will not be buying now after this bullshit. Not investing another 60 bucks into a game where part of it doesn't even work.

After they released this patch, my copy feels nearly unplayable. There are game killing glitches every which way.

If this is true, then yeah, I'll definitely be skipping WWE 13. There's no reason to believe THQ will clean up their act if they can't get their servers working properly now.

They simply need to stop using the gamespy server. Its horrid and never works properly for them.

edit: seems they DID ditch the gamespy server in favor of their own dedicated one. Clearly it made a vast improvement.

Yeah, this year is the first year they stopped using the Gamespy server. It's too bad too, because this was supposed to be a flawless and smooth experience because they had "in house expertise." Mmmhmmm.

WWE '12 must be booked by Vince Russo. I had the following happen yesterday:

Raven and Ultimate Warrior are in the midst of a heated feud. They have a match on RAW. Warrior is coming out, and the cut-scene plays where Raven jumps him on the entrance ramp and lays him out. Then for some reason, Kurt Angle is just standing in the middle of the ring, looking like a zombie. I'm playing as Raven, so I run down and give Angle a Russian legsweep. Angle sells like he is dead, not moving at all. During the match, Angle just lies there in the middle of the ring, and I beat up Warrior pretty good. At one point, we're outside the ring, and suddenly they show Santino seated at ringside. He punches Warrior in the face, then leaves.

I win the match, and then afterwards both Angle and Santino come out and beat up Warrior. Santino, who had been a face, is now officially a heel, according to the game. Angle is still technically a face. I decide to turn him heel and re-form the Corporation, pairing the new oddball duo with Mr. McMahon.

I decide to follow these events up with a six man tag match on Smackdown. Angle/Santino/McMahon vs Warrior/Cena/Lawler (Cena and Lawler are two of the big babyfaces for me on Smackdown). Angle and Santino work well as a team, not even bothering to tag in Vince during the match. After a very good match, Angle pins Warrior to win. The Corporation celebrates in the ring, Vince holding up the arms of his new tag team in victory, and all seems well. However...

The game plays a cut scene where Santino suddenly turns on Angle and attacks him. Yep, there goes my hot new angle. I'll probably just re-pair Santino with Angle and pretend that last part never happened, since I like the storylines to have SOME semblance of a flow.

Ledesma has stated that the ps3 version of WWE 13 will have 64 layers for CAS instead of the usual 32. So at least creations will now be on par with some of the really amazing 360 ones.

Just picked up WWE 12 for the PS3 last weekend. Seems like an improvement. Once again, trying to use any online feature seems to be a complete roll of the dice. Seems like it should be another easy Platinum if nothing else.

Played my first online game last night. Once again, it's an unplayable lag fest. Every 30 seconds it would pop up with an error that it was trying to reconnect. Finished the match to get my trophy for playing online, but I don't think I will bother again.
