Coincidentally, I got a survey from WWE gauging interest in WWE and UFC holding cards in the same city in one weekend.

My only issue is WWE is definitely gonna get shifted back to damn Sunday PLEs in that scenario. No way they get the Saturday slot.

Meltzer said a few years ago that after Shamrock left in ‘99 his then-wife requested an audit of his merchandise sales and found that the WWF owed him quite a bit of money. So that’s why he was never brought back: Vince will forgive a lot in the name of business, but messing with his ability to screw talent on pay is beyond the pale. But now there’s a big lawsuit against UFC alleging they have used illegal tactics to lower fighter pay and if they have to settle you better believe WWE is next. Ken would be valuable in both suits so it’s a smart move to get him on the TKO side to keep him quiet.

they are doing a solid job of the presentation of Punk here.

Making us well aware that he’s full of shit and he knows we know he’s full of shit but he has to play the part he’s always refused to play and it’s eating at him but he’s forcing contrition thru self deprecation and vapid empty handed rhetoric.

It’s also a good move by WWE if he does go astray again, it’s already baked into the story they’ve begun here.

Also they just go ahead and give us Cody and Punk segments along with Punk and Owens.

Cody being the only guy who actually doesn’t hate Punk is a good touch, but because it’s Cody, it’s dripping with fake sincerity and Punk has to match it.

I already gave up after the first Raw tbh. They had their chance to catch my interest and immediately lost it. I think that is true of a lot of people given how Raw's ratings went right back to normal. I'll watch Rumble like always so we'll see what happens.

I mean lol Punk and all, but he did do some training camps and sparred with legit fighters. He probably would sub Owens in a real fight. It would be sloppy, but come on guys lol. Punk looked like shit in his UFC fights, but I think he could still take out a number of untrained wrestlers.

Real talk: I think the WWE locker room is more mature than the AEW one and will know better when to walk away from a confrontation. I think that's one of the only arguments towards Punk working better in WWE than AEW.

Kevin Owens is a grown ass man and isn't going to be baited like a Jungle Jack Perry would.
