Yeah, I don't think any of this juicy drama is going to lead anywhere. Also, Owens is like 15 years older than Jungle Jack, so he should be more mature.

I'm probably the only person on here or most of the IWC rooting for Punk/WWE to work. Like I get it, but Punk still has that connection with me as a fan. Hell, I watch the Chicago Cubs parade in Wrigley after they win the World Series in 2016 and who's the color commentator on that? Punk. He's my guy. I can take all the jibes and insults towards him, but saying Kevin Owens would whoop him in a fight is crossing the line.

Tbf, I kind of side with Punk in the Jungle Jack beef. Punk was just looking out for his safety and then Jack “OK Boomer’d” him and proceeded to troll him on the biggest AEW show ever. Punk obviously overreacted to that (and should’ve been fired) but I don’t think he was the instigator.

I just think WWE has better systems in place to, for lack of a better term, coddle Punk. And Punk won’t feel the need to advise unappreciative young talent.

That wasn’t all that happened though, you’re looking at it through a vacuum. I told everyone that something would happen at Wembley because all these elements that were kept apart had to be together at the same time again. If it wasn’t him it would have been Mox who he publicly belittled. Jack was like the 20th guy something happened to and he was the only one with balls (or immaturity) to have finally had enough of it. Like have you thought about why people found out Punk got into it with him over glass in the first place? I probably would have reacted worse than Jack did tbh. That stuffs supposed to stay in the locker room but all of a sudden Punk has his buddy post a Punk is a Hero story burying you and insinuating you want time off. Nope. We ain’t having that.

Punk was obviously in the wrong to act the way that he did throughout his AEW run but it was piss poor management that let it escalate to that point. I mean why the hell would you put on Jungle Jack and CM Punk’s matches next to each other if you knew there was a chance for them squabbling?

It’s not poor management to be unable to control someone who acts like a lunatic. The poor management part is that when he took to social media to shit on Mox they should have fired him.

It wouldn’t have made a difference what happened that day. He wanted to beat someone up to show how tough he was and he’d been trying to do it for a long time. See: incident with Dolph’s brother, or forcing Chris Daniels and Matt Hardy to leave the show one night, and apparently you found out he did this to QT Marshall too, etc.

What they should have done, was not let him act worse than anyone ever in a wrestling locker room before. I have never heard of any main event talent ever getting in altercations with lower card guys and regularly disallowing them from coming to work. There’s been bullying in wrestling before but this is a new scale. I’ve never before heard of Taker or JBL telling someone they were banned from the company.

Frankly if I was an AEW talent and my deal was coming up, I wouldn’t want to go to WWE but I would want some assurances one of my peers can’t do this again.

Now you’re being a bit histrionic. Punk’s behavior was boorish and unacceptable but we have had dudes hogtied in the showers and Bill Goldberg pie facing Evan Karagias cause Evan Karagais wouldn’t shake his hand after Goldberg scratched his balls before offering it. Not to mention all of the racism and sexism.

the idea that WWE is more mature than AEW is hilarious to me. The locker room is full of statutory rapists, domestic abusers, and all kinds of other problem people. They just fired Riddle after the Airport shit. WWE basically had to close down NXT UK because it was full of scumbags.

WWE is better at covering up and ignoring problems. AEW doesn't have a massive corporate infrastructure yet to help them come up with PR excuses. AEW has some guys go and tweet about shit (most of which are just angles or blowing off steam) and people act like its the end of the world. A lot of the problems in AEW have involved CM Punk or other guys who came from WWE and want to go back there like Andrade.

Yeah see I feel like not being allowed to come to work is worse but that’s just me

I’d rather get sent home from work then hogtied or piefaced by a gorilla ex NFL defensive lineman (who just scratched his balls with that hand). I guess it’s just a matter of opinion.

Punk will try to pull shit eventually. We're in the honeymoon phase, just like the first several AEW months. He cuts his edgy enough promos, he shows up on various instagrams, he plays proud company man. He won't go full Brawl Out but the second someone pinkbellies him in a promo, he'll get pissed and more will happen. It won't come down to "who would win in a fight" talk, it's going to be a lot of angry huffing and puffing and he leaves when the contract is up unless he requests the release but that's admitting defeat and he won't do that.

It’s weird because he’s so used to playing an anti status quo character but WWE fans LOVE their status quo. It won’t take long for some disappointment and resentment over that to kick in. As soon as Punk became the AEW status quo that’s when problems started. He needs to be on top because of his ego, but once he is he can’t handle peasants trying to get over at his expense. He was demonstrably not a draw when he got fired by AEW so I do have some interest in where this is actually going to go.

There’s also an issue where fans tend to only react to certain wrestlers so we’ll see where that goes. Additionally WWE fans don’t care about other wrestling and don’t care much about things that happened years ago so him going over their favorites is something I anticipate could be reacted to very negatively. Like for example if LA Knight has to put him over. That will get the wrong kind of heat.

With Cody they got a little fortunate that he got hurt so bad and worked through it because he instantly earned everyone’s respect.

Que a Corny pod segment screaming about how Xmas week was the 2nd biggest drawing time of the year in the good old days.

"Roy Lee Welch tossed a milk pail at Floyd Red Byrd on TV the first week of December and they sold out every hay mow in Tennesee Xmas week bah gum. Including both Farmer Jones and Farmer Miller's pole sheds in one Saturday afternoon!"

(What a waste of my only modern WWE post of the month)

What's Steph been up to? Is she just ostensibly out of the business these days? Feels like I haven't heard anything about her since Vince came back.

She’s being a mom and she’s still on the board for various foundations and charities and focusing on that. I believe I saw something about she was looking to start up a media company.

Seems like she’s done with the rasslin for now since there isn’t a place for her it appears.

We fantasy booked the Swift WM match last night in chat. Taylor legit towers over any female on the roster save for Charlotte and she's actually an inch taller than Charlotte at 5'11. It's gotta happen. C'mon Ari Emanuel, Nick Khan, Papa H, Bucky Beaver, and the rest, get it done.

She works Mania I'm out. I know specifically one person who will mark out so hard the world will split in half if she does and I don't wanna hear about it.

That would be awesome, actually, because that's like the most non-Blood Money hypocritical Punk thing possible and also guarantee I don't watch a night of the show.

The money is this happening at the Nashville WM and having Daddy Jeff referee a Travis/Taylor vs Bron Breakker/Charlotte (sorry Cora, you too short for this).

Taylor babysat Jeff’s kids but he was also partners with Brons uncle so WHERE DOES DADDY JEFF’s allegiance lie?

Of course, Daddy Jeff uses his Spring Breakers connections with Taylor’s best friend, Selena Gomez who turns on Taylor in a shocking act of betrayal.

Seth should pull a Rude and change his name to Seth Freakin Rollins so he can use it when he leaves.
