I wonder if known Meltz source Eddie Gilbert was spreading fake news to get his crew a bigger push or pay from JCP??
Sting would start getting shots at Flair in January.
Scott Steiner is learning his craft in the WWA at this point. I wonder what a 1988 Steiner Bros vs Demolition match looks like? The Steiners were awesome by 89, but Vince might get in his own way and give them a dopey gimmick.

Red Rooster Taylor also was sending out feelers to Vince with Gilbert and Co. Remember Taylor wasn't on Dusty's good side when he got fired right after Starrcade 85 when on the private jet he was mocking Rhodes in the seat next to him and Rhodes was acting like he was sleeping listening to music with head phones on he hears Rooster mocking him and as soon they got to the arena Dusty gave Terry his walking papers and ole Red went back to Mid South.Then when Crockett bought out UWF Taylor was buried at Starrcade 87 losing the UWF TV Title to Nikita Koloff in a UWF VS NWA TV Title unification match and Taylor knew Dusty hated him and pecked up to Texas and Fritz in January of 1988 until resurfacing in the WWF of that year.

Terry Taylor must have had something to offer to the business cause he has consistently gotten work despite being a racist loud mouthed snitch.

What he offers IS that he's a racist snitch, latter more important than the former but based on employers it probably is more equal than expected. He's a yes man who some people consider underrated and underutilized at his peak (which makes him good at stuff) and I seriously don't think I've heard anything positive about him.

His best moments are literally being called a racist, a stooge, and that head movement after being eliminated from the Rumble.

The Young Bucks credit him for whatever limited success they had in TNA.

He was a mentor and champion of Chris Jericho during Jericho’s WCW run.

FWIW, someone I know very well who was formerly in the WWE developmental system hates Terry Taylor with a passion.

I don't think the racist snitch thing is the reason in his case, but it does kind of support the theory that only shitty people like Terry Taylor

This actually wouldn't have been a bad mid card team. They can jive, Koko can work and sell and JYD can be the hot tag guy.

It isn't like either guy would get a better shot, looking at it now. Poor Koko was just in the wrong company for advancement and JYD was JYD.
