yeah but Captain Lou would almost always do a completely unnecessary, horribly obvious bladejob.

That comment is more appropriate for the WW(W)F Pre Expansioon, 1962 to 1983 thread though than this era.

When Brell offered 100K "Tax Free" for the winner of the "Battle of the Tough Guys" in No Holds Barred, does that legally work if say Company X pays the tax portion and hands the rest to the winner? Doesn't that fall into some other tax issue?

What state was the match in again?

Long hair Allied Powers-era Bulldog is my favorite look though. Suddenly felt like a bigger star with that mane.

Wrestling Twitter has discovered Butcher Vachon's wedding again. If the masked woman really is Luna as the thread speculates, I can see why the boys try and fuck with her to either rib Butcher or maybe even Luna herself who was breaking in. Hazing on national TV.
I've certainly noticed that bit was skeezy in past viewings of Bloopers, Bleeps and Bodyslams.

No room on WM 3 for Mulligan, Islanders, Demolition, Kamala, Sika, Pedro, Ron Bass, Spivey and a ton of other lower card guys...and yet Sal gets a random push after 3 years of looking at the lights.

Looks like it didn't add up to more bookings. His next 3 TV matches after this are as a face being smashed by Race, Bass and Demolition.

He only gets a few house show matches up to March and some of those are D team High School trash.
He then loses two TV squashes as a heel jobber and is GONE.

Well, there was no room on WM 3 for him either. But that card was just about perfect. Adding a few more matches to get those lower card guys included might've left it more on the 5 and 6 side of things. A battle royal could've worked, though. And I wouldn't mind putting the new Demolition over a couple names like Morales and Mulligan.

Demolition in March '87 isn't the same as Demolition in March '88. They still had Johnny V at that point, probably.

WrestleMania III card is perfect as it is. Even the nothing matches like Butch Reed-Koko B. Ware and Rougeaus-Dream Team have little stories that make it seem like they matter and advance storylines.

It is almost Russo like to give Sal a random push as the 15th most important thing going on. I was expressing this sort of in a facetious manner.

Mulligan and Bass were feuding heading into the event. Meltz and the gang thought Duggan/Kamala was making the card too.

Duggan is the only name I think should've been on the card proper. Duggan and the Bees vs Sheik, Volkoff, and Kamala would've been perfectly fine.

Sal Bellomo was awesome in ECW and wouldn't have been so without this push.

So is the "Orndorff was kept of WM 3 just in case Andre couldn't go" rumor true or not?

I don't think it has ever been officially confirmed, @BruiserBrody ? I heard Paul Orndorff was even paid for WMIII for being on standby. It's weird he wasn't featured or mentioned at all. Like I said the card was perfect and didn't need a Mr. Wonderful squash added but maybe a short promo where he talks about being in line to challenge the winner of the main event or something.
