Yeah, say what you will about how Trump would be as POTUS, he's clearly really really bad at running for POTUS. If he were trying to lose on purpose I can't think of a single thing he'd be doing differently.

Earlier in the week, The Financial Times reported that Donald J. Trump’s son-in-law had met with investors about possibly starting a television network. And a half-hour before the debate, we got a sneak preview of what Trump TV might look like, via Mr. Trump’s Facebook page.

“If you’re tired of biased, mainstream media reporting (otherwise known as Crooked Hillary’s super PAC),” Mr. Trump posted, “tune into my Facebook Live broadcast.”

That ramshackle pregame show was like state television produced by QVC, with interviews by, of and for Mr. Trump’s supporters, cable-news-like graphics and a relentless sales pitch.

Trump endorsers, including the former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and Gen. Michael T. Flynn pre-hyped the debate. Ivanka Trump, in a taped message, called for donations and promised, “My father will make us all proud!” There were “ad breaks” for Mr. Trump’s campaign spots. Even he could not call this coverage rigged against him.

I think a lot of people kind of fantasy booked this outcome but didn't believe that he would do something so venal and be able to con so many people. That's why it's surreal to see him actually pull it off. This is a WWE Attitude era storyline.

This Hillary speech is one of the best political bits I've ever seen. Ultimate 'bring us together' speech, plus that dry wit ruled.

Trump was pretty nasty.

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/21/us/politics/al-smith-dinner-clinton-trump.html

Donald J. Trump began this quadrennial exercise in campaign humility and self-deprecation on Thursday by comparing himself to the son of God — just another “carpenter working for his father” in his youth.

By the end, facing cascading and uncomfortable jeers from a crowd full of white ties and gowns, he had called Hillary Clinton Catholic-hating, “so corrupt” and potentially jail-bound in a prospective Trump administration.

Breaking with decades of tradition at the gathering once he took the microphone, Mr. Trump set off on a blistering, grievance-filled performance that translated poorly to the staid setting, stunning many of the well-heeled guests who had filed into the Waldorf Astoria hotel for an uncommon spectacle: an attempted détente in a campaign so caustic that the candidates, less than 24 hours earlier, declined to shake hands on a debate stage.

Mr. Trump said Mrs. Clinton was merely “pretending not to hate Catholics,” an allusion to hacked correspondences from Clinton aides that appeared to include messages criticizing Roman Catholic conservatism.

He wondered aloud how someone like Mrs. Clinton — “so corrupt,” he said — could sell herself to the American people. “What’s her pitch?” he asked. “The economy is busted, the government’s corrupt, Washington is failing. Vote for me.”

He fake-griped that “all the jokes were given to her in advance.”

The rest of the world is either laughing at us or hanging their heads in shame. Trump has done more to destroy America's reputation than anything Bush Jr/Obama/Hillary could do combined. At least their foreign affairs policies have made a lot of people hate us......Trump makes us a laughingstock. I'd prefer being hated than being mocked and ridiculed

I gotta give one thing to Trump though.....the man has zero ounces of shame in him and clearly does not give a fuck about anyone but himself. He is the ultimate "American Psycho" product of the Wall Street generation......and I suppose America deserves a fool like him

I still think Trump has a good shot at taking Massachusetts. Pneumonia-ghazi-gate is just getting warmed up.
I'm not sure if you're being facetious, but assuming you aren't? I disagree. Most of the Trump supporters I've met have changed their minds on him over the last couple weeks and plan on voting Johnson or just not casting a ballot. There's a very real sense of Clinton being status quo and disliked overall, but a very real fear even among the conservative people I know about a potential Trump presidency.

Massachusetts. Even the right wing leans left.

I was joking. Precious Roy said he thought Trump would win Mass. 909 said Trump would win the election when Clinton fainted.

Yep I said that and not an hour later thought different. I still think there is still something wrong with her health but that is not an election issue.

Obama is well-liked throughout most of the world. We don't care that he's a Kenyan Muslim Socialist!

http://www.upi.com/Top_News/World-News/2016/06/29/Obama-US-Clinton-enjoy-high-ratings-around-world-confidence-in-Trump-low/5681467221664/

and Hillary while less liked also did well in those polls. Neither are universally popular obviously, especially in certain areas of the world but that would be impossible given US policies.

According to Hipmunk, “The share of bookings at Trump Hotels on Hipmunk as a percent of total hotel bookings are down, decreasing 58.46 percent compared to the same period last year. While overall Hipmunk hotel bookings have been on the rise year-over-year, that has not been the case with bookings of Trump Hotels.”

Even Trump’s new hotel in Washington, D.C. is suffering. While every other 5-star accommodation was booked for a recent IMF conference in the city, Trump’s hotel was reducing rates because they were unable to fill the building.

Trump’s brand is so toxic that a new line of Trump hotels targeted to millennial travelers is removing his name.

That a huge drop to explain away.

TBF I said it before Trump went off the rails of the crazy train. Also, I didn't say he would win MA.....I said there was a chance.

When was Trump not crazy?

I think there's a chance Hillary sweeps Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Kentucky and loses Hawaii.

On a separate note, Clinton is obviously not the greatest or most inspiring candidate ever. But she absolutely ate Trump's lunch in all three debates. Not sure exactly how much that contributed to the current massive polling lead (vs. pussygate), but credit where credit is due.

If it's any consolation, I was dead wrong about the Republican primaries. If you back through these threads, I'm pretty sure I predicted Trump wouldn't win a single primary or caucus.

I still don't think the polls are reflecting that GOP turnout is going to be far lower than usual. Usually it's Democrats that don't turn out when the candidate isn't super inspiring, but I see no way that happens. Early voting totals are also huge in Clinton's favor so far.

Trump having no ground game is going to lead to surprising results down ballot.

Yeah, it seems that way.........but this is so hard to predict. I don't see any way Trump wins at this point.......but the "downvoting" is just impossible for me to make an educated guess on. I tend to think people will turn out for state/local stuff while hating Trump/Clinton........but I have no data to base that on

Green Bay is full of Trump signs. A few scattered Hillary signs and 2 Gary Johnson's that I've spotted.

This morning's polls still have Hillary up 5 points in Wisconsin.

A big hullaboo just went down because the UWGB was banned from having a polling station because it favored liberals.

Got an e-mail from my AMC Theatres movie watcher card that I have been invited to watch the live election night coverage of CNN on one of their screens. Seems crazy but it looks like you can get a "Red Theatre" pass or a "Blue Theatre" pass. Still feel there could be brawls in the aisles. Especially with the subsequent ad in the e-mail:
