I'm gonna vote for whoever gets the Dem nom regardless, but I'm starting to get nervous of a Trump victory if Biden gets the nom. I can't see the young people getting excited for him and going out to vote.

Democratic establishment sadly hasn't learned from the mistakes of 2016 and the victories of 2018. Could totally see lack of enthusiasm killing Biden like it did Hillary.

But take a deep breath everyone, it's incredibly early

It's important to remember that Hillary got more votes Trump. The campaign came down to about 80,000 votes across 3 traditionally blue states. I truly believe that Donald Trump would have lost to Joe Biden or any democratic nominee with a penis in 2016.

Biden is not my first choice candidate either but I'll support him if he get the nominee.

I believe that there a lot of people who abstained from voting out of spite (some Bernie supporters) or voted third party (fringe-Democrats who didn't like Hillary, "casual" libertarians, etc.) because they never realistically believed in a Trump victory. I can't imagine that the same mistake is made again but the American public is pretty stupid.

Politico has had it out for Bernie like crazy in this campaign. Feels like they have weekly longform hit jobs on him weekly, bringing up all kinds of bullshit boogeyman tactics like a headline reading "Bernie's Secret Soviet Tapes" and the like.

Bernie's major policy speech at GWU wasn't broadcast in full by any major news network, meaning that none of the messages about the rise of the right or "dark forces" we're broadcast. Right-wing terrorism as an issue and calling out their history failed to garner a national megaphone.

"Why can't Bernie capture non-white voters?" will be a narrative as they keep cutting off the relevant material.

Nobody's full speeches get broadcast other than Trump's by Fox News. Not sure what you expect.

"We've given up, sorry."

Sadly, this seems to be the "lamestream" media's response to Trump and the rise of right-wing populism. The President of the fucking USA openly, loudly and proudly outright lies, attacks journalists personally, calls the press the enemy of the people....and the media en masse is seemingly rolling over and taking it. Fuck that shit. Grow a pair. I can't understand why they haven't gone hard after him for his constant bullshit. They general coverage of the Mueller report and Barr's handling of it was shamefully underwhelming. I do think a reckoning will come for the Republican party, but at this point it can't come soon enough. We all exist in this reality where we know how morally bankrupt and corrupt they are, but are seemingly powerless to do anything about it, and the Democratic party sure as shit doesn't seem to want to upset the apple cart too much. It's fucking sad that they won the house with strong turnout, with a huge diverse, young electorate, lots of women and minorities.....and yet they still want to stick with the status quo. I realize they can't fully change overnight, but they had a mandate and they're dropping the fucking ball. I'll vote for almost anyone against Trump, but the same reasons I hated the Democrats in 2015-16 are why I hate them now. They really fucking suck, and we so badly need a 3rd party

Yang making it onstage is pretty hilarious. De Blassio is funny in another way since he's gotta be the most disliked person running in this.

the actual format for the debates (it's a TWO NIGHTER!) is talked about here:

I'll put Warren at the top of the list with everyone else being interchangeable for me and Bill Di Blasio being the absolute last person I'll vote for. I'm not 100% sold on her yet but she's shown the most sense out of everyone so far.

Really funny that his own pollsters had him getting his ass kicked in battleground states and only barely up in Texas.

The narrative is hard on that one when Warren is for all of that stuff and has put forward exactly how she'd do it.

He's not particularly wrong, though. Corporate Dems hate him because he could hurt their off-shore accounts. Even if Warren is willing and ready to do the same? She doesn't carry with her a vocal base nationwide.

So? If Warren is for the same stuff Bernie should advise his followers to get behind her if she ends up with the nomination.

Warren has yet to endorse Medicare for All and continues to consistently dodge healthcare questions. He's right. Warren and Bernie are NOT the same, as much as they're regularly conflated.

Considering how big of an issue healthcare is and will continue to be, continuing to endorse the grossly exploitative private avenues is a losing position.

That was rather easily disproven.
