Wait...waaaaait wait wait..the dude who penned "Fuck Tha Police" is a fucking Trumpster?!

He's more one of those dudes who sees Trump say something in agreement with him one time and still thinks that Trump isn't completely lying to him.

NBC, again, is doing everything it can to keep Trump in the White House. They have chosen to schedule a Trump town hall at the same time/date as Biden's (which was only scheduled after the president quit the 2nd debate like a bitch).
I know they didn't have to jump at the chance to do it, but isn't there some sort of rule that during elections there has to be equal time given between those that are running, if it's during primetime?

Nah.

Biden has one on ABC at the same time and it's an hour longer btw. I am reasonably certain far more people will be watching it.

They could've done it another time. Or a different night. Or not at all (I dont think the equal time rule applies since Biden's town hall was a replacment for the debate the president quit). But they chose what they chose. Of course, this is the same channel that gave him 14 seasons of a reality tv show and a 24/7 loop on its cable news arm in 2015/16.

The equal-time rule specifies that U.S. radio and television broadcast stations must provide an equivalent opportunity to any opposing political candidates who request it. This means, for example, that if a station gives a given amount of time to a candidate in prime time, it must do the same for another candidate who requests it, at the same price if applicable.

So yeah, they jumped super hard at it but they kind of had to

The rule, as I understand it, means that if a candidate pays for a half hour of prime time on say, CBS, then CBS has to allow the opponent the opportunity to pay the same rate for a prime time slot. It's not particularly relevant in national elections anymore. But it might apply to some local and statewide races. And it used to be a factor in presidential contests.

Ahh, well thanks! I didn't know exactly how it worked, but (incorrectly) assumed that if Biden had the hour on primetime, Trump was "owed" an hour as well.

I cannot fucking wait for Biden’s town hall to secure higher ratings than Trump’s so we can experience the epic meltdown that will follow.

I'm not going to get my hopes up that Biden will get higher ratings than a literal reality tv celebrity who still has tens of millions of worshipers because he's a reality tv celebrity.

My guess is NBC will win the ratings battle but their efforts to help Trump won't work out; he will turn in another bad performance. NBC will then have to deal with the fallout of its disgruntled workers. ABC will lose the ratings game but it will still do well and their advertisers will feel better about being involved with a much less embarrassing spectacle. Biden will, hopefully, play it safe and positive, and will dominate another news cycle into the weekend.

And if I'm wrong, all the better. Then NBC will have an even bigger fiasco all of its own choosing.

The highly anticipated "but his emails" portion of the race has begun. Will the FBI open an investigation in the last week of the campaign?

Did you read that article?

Mr Murdoch is saying those things privately; in public his NYP is leading this year's "but the emails" thing.

Ballot in. Took about 45 minutes from when I first stepped in line until I fed it into the machine. I hate filling those bubbles out, especially since I had my sunglasses on when I got out of the car when I thought I had my real glasses on (which I don't absolutely have to have but it helps), so I ended up squinting at the circle for Biden three inches away from my face to make sure I didn't fuck it up when filling in.

I hear over on NBC they're asking Trump legitimate questions and he's throwing a temper tantrum.

Biden is doing a good job dodging this court packing question. It is pretty clear he is not going to allow a bunch of fascists to trample on our rights and has every intention of dealing with it appropriately. Outright stating that, however, is very difficult given the standards by which he is judged compared to those fascists.

biden talking to the audience during every break and after it ended made me laugh. dude would travel door to door ever household in america to get people to vote for him. His answer about Racial Justice and what he'd do if he lost was also one of the most honest things I've heard from a politician I think.

What did he say?

That if he lost it was because he was a sorry candidate, and maybe the country isn't as racially divided as he and others think. Regardless he also said that if he lost, he would continue to fight for racial justice. He also said that the crime bill was a mistake, that nobody should be in jail for drug use, and that a lot of states used things that were in the crime bill to punish people racially.

I can say with a lot of certainty that the last nominee would never ever admit to themselves that they were bad at anything. The contrast between the events these two had was surreal.

Biden is leading in this survey with white voters 51% to 47%. That is extraordinary…. If Biden does, in fact, win that level with whites, it would indicate that a very large wave is building for Democrats up and down the ballot.

Trump’s strongest groups continue to be white evangelical Christians, rural voters and whites without college degrees. But Trump’s advantage among whites without a degree is down a net of 19 points from last month. In September, Trump led among whites without a college degree 63% to 33%. That has significantly narrowed this month to a 54%–43% advantage for Trump. Trump won them 66% to 29% in 2016 over Hillary Clinton.
