Ewers is out with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. Looks like he might be out a good deal of the season.

RG3 subtly burying Baylor's coaching during the end of this game has been fantastic TV.

Herm up to some shit that will get him fired. Down late and getting driven on against directional Michigan at home. Boosters, fans, etc were already tired of him. They have had talent and can't win. Most of it transferred away. And then guy fumbles to lose the game. So this game makes me wonder about some shit. Like are most coaches (even the ones who get fired) good coaches and there's only so much talent to go around? Think about it. Every game that happens someone has to win and someone has to lose.

There's a lot more disparity in college football but I think that's why schemes are so important. That's why if I were a mid-level or lower program, I'd opt more for a scheme like the Triple Option (think the Army/Navy/Air Forces of the world with way less pure talent), Nebraska's I Formation Option of the 80s & 90s, or the Run & Shoot because you can scheme around lesser talent with that compared to trying to be a "traditional" Pro Offense or even a more common spread offense with pro-style concepts. You'll often see a wider variety of schemes and old-school schemes in the FCS and D2 levels precisely for that reason.

Southern Illinois knocked off Kansas 31-24! UMass finally won a game resoundingly, 20-3, even if it was over powerhouse Stony Brook :) Arizona managed to survive North Dakota State 31-28 in a game I was intrigued by.

It's good BC Football can provide a college entry into "Most disappointing inept local sports team" category as they couldn't even really manage to blow out a not particularly good FCS team (my Maine Black Bears) 38-17. And the last touchdown was scored in garbage time and Maine was in red zone with 3-4 minutes left to play with a chance to make it a one possession game!

They should be glad that that they have UConn on their schedule because otherwise, they'll be potentially looking at a 1-11 season (although I wouldn't be shocked if the Huskies got the "upset")

Also Jim Mora is UConn's coach? I missed @HarleyQuinn's post about that.

Go Vols! Great performance today so far. Not sure how I feel about us being good again but I know for sure it feels awesome to possibly beat Florida after losing the last five seasons to them.

EDIT: The Florida coach was just having to be held back by his staff from going after a referee. I think we've got this.

UCLA notably knocked off Washington last night. Pretty loaded slate today, especially in the SEC.

BAH GAWD, @HarleyQuinn ! Boston College won an in conference game! They're no longer definitively the worst team in the ACC. They've been upgraded to just one of the worst teams in the ACC!

Nice memory to hang onto when they get whoomped by Clemson and Wake Forest next few weeks.

There's a slaughtering going on at the Dome right now. At half, Syracuse is leading Wagner 49-0. The QB for Wager went 2 for 5 for 19 yards and 1 interception. He also ran the ball 9 times for -18 yards, while their regular RB had 9 rushes for 18 yards. For Syracuse, their QB is 13 for 13 for 191 yards and 2 TDs. Their RB has 22 rushes for 227 yards and 3 TDs. I know Wagner isn't good, but holy shit. Syracuse has a history of playing down to their opponents, so to see them getting the job done in the first half has been awesome. If they win, they are 5-0 and have the hard part of their schedule coming up.
