So I watched this whole thing this AM.
RFK does go extensively into vax dangers as Maher pushes back to a degree. Maher pushes back some. Maher doesn't like the idea of forced vax in a Covid like situation. If you are young and healthy (or even old and healthy) he doesn't approve of it. Maher himself thinks he got Covid from his Covid vax, which IIRC was medically said to not be possible. Maher does go on to state that having the vax probably kept his symptoms minor.
I did not fact check RFK. He says the data spouted on "vax injuries" is wrong and the real number is one out of every 37 people.
He does not declare himself to be anti vax, but basically asks Maher to frame him and what the perception of RFK's beliefs are so then RFK can respond to a less broad vax question.
IIRC he says the Covid vax is useless after a few months, which must be somewhat accurate, hence the boosters.
The CDC has earmarked 1989 as the year that Autism rates exploded and no one knows why. RFK suggests the chemicals in the vax as an option. Maher and him go over other possibilities such as cell phones. This is tied to evidence that banning unleaded gas in vehicles raised the average IQ 10 points. (Again I did not fact check RFK and/or if this is all nutter junk science.)
Maher gets in his Gen Z smart phone rant, where the modern generation are getting stupider and more anti social from staring at a screen all day.
The old man yells at cloud segment continues as one or both (Maher for sure) blames violent video games in part for mass shootings as kids are seeing guns as the final solution in games which spills over to real life.
RFK spills some family history, which I personally enjoyed since I'm a history guy. JFK's brother(IIRC) died in WW2 flying a plane that was designed to carry a large amount of bombs and then crash into a target after the pilot ejects. The explosion was set off prematurely and the Kennedy died. Papa Joe was crushed by the incident the rest of his life.
We also hear extensively about RFK and Jr being in the White House during JFK's reign and how close the brothers were. RFK cut J. Edgar Hoover's direct access to JFK off and JEH was supremely pissed off. JEH was the one who told RFK about JFK being shot and later dying. JEH delivered the news in the same manner as one would order breakfast at a diner.
We close with RFK going over how Sirhan Sirhan did not shoot his father. The security guard that was holding his dad's arm as they went through the kitchen area shot him 3 times at point blank range. RFK Jr believes his dad twisted his body and grabbed the guard's clip on tie in a brief defensive method before falling to the floor. (This is a common theory, and there is a ton of back and forth in the official story about this. Unsolved Mysteries even covered a version of this 30 years ago, without blaming the guard IIRC) You can see the tie in pics of his dad on the floor.
RFK speaks of extra bullet holes being found by the police that were written off. RFK's injuries were done by a gun that had to be basically right next to him. Sirhan was nowhere close. Sirhan only got off 2 shots before being tackled. The other shots he took after that were wild shots without a target, Sirhan himself still says he has no memory of any of this.
Edit - Maher, with 30 years of interviewing people/panels is often a bad interviewer on Club Random. He is actively smoking pot and drinking Tequila so he tends to lose his train of thought and/or interrupt his guests stories to babble about himself or a related story.
