I don't want to get all apocalyptic right now. But I live about two blocks from train tracks and I don't know if a single day has went by since I moved here that 2-5 trains haven't passed. I haven't heard a train in at least 5 days.

My plant of 400ish workers is fighting to the very last breath to keep from shutting down. No one wants to be here.

This too shall pass.

You guys will have to chill on the numbers going up over the next week or 2. It's a side effect of actually having the tests.

Once I die along with 5,000 idiots stampeding at Walmart, quote this post.

Been quarantined since Saturday and have been working from home all week. Have not left my place other than a few shopping runs. I miss my friends and family.

I do appreciate that Republicans are taking it more seriously now but IT SURE WOULD HAVE HELPED MORE IF THEY HAD TAKEN IT MORE SERIOUSLY IN PUBLIC THREE WEEKS AGO

There was a reply that said this guy has big “cocky guy in the first 40 minutes of a horror movie” energy, and if you get it, you get it.

Life comes at ya fast.

She also purchased $250,000 worth of stocks in Citrix, a company that manufactures teleworking software after selling those other stocks.

GameStop sent a memo to their employees stating that even in states in full shutdown, they will be staying open as they see themselves as essential retail like grocery stores and pharmacies

https://kotaku.com/gamestop-we-can-stay-open-during-lockdowns-because-wer-1842415962

The other fantastic thing about Gamestop doing this not in this article was I saw an article the other day that most stores don’t even have cleaning supplies and will not have them for months due to neglecting to stock them.

So, in Republicans are evil pieces of shit news. Remember that GOING BIG bill that is going to be passed giving people who need it money. Well, the people who need it the most are the lowest income group. These people by and large work service sector jobs. These jobs are the ones that have been wiped out in large numbers.

They're going to give the poor people LESS FUCKING MONEY.

Well...

"The legislation would provide checks of $1,200 per adult for many families, as well as $500 for every child in those families. Families filing jointly would receive up to $2,400 for the adults. The size of the checks would diminish for those earning more than $75,000 and phase out completely for those earning more than $99,000. The poorest families, those with no federal income tax liability, would see smaller benefits, though the minimum would be set at $600."

Texas issues lockdown orders

Gov. Greg Abbott issued an executive order limiting public gatherings to 10 people, shutting schools, prohibiting visitors to nursing homes and retirement communities and limiting bars and restaurants to take-out through April 3 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19. He also recommended that non-essential state employees telework.

We have been doing this for a week now so I think it is much too late for this to make any difference for Texas.
