The other part is that people are still going out to do essentials. Meanwhile over in China they welded people's doors shut to force them to stay inside for months and made them grab grocery deliveries through the window.

The nation’s second-largest municipal health system has told its staff that it is essentially abandoning hope of containing the coronavirus outbreak and instructed doctors not to bother testing symptomatic patients if a positive result won’t change how they would be treated.

The guidance, sent by the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services to its doctors on Thursday, was prompted by a crush of patients and shortage of tests, and could make it difficult to ever know precisely how many people in L.A. County contracted the virus.

The department “is shifting from a strategy of case containment to slowing disease transmission and averting excess morbidity and mortality,” according to the letter. Doctors should test symptomatic patients only when “a diagnostic result will change clinical management or inform public health response.”

The past two days here in Indiana saw 187 tests on each day, compared to just 193 total tests prior. And the positive test ratio was about half (40 total positive compared to 39 prior). I understand the numbers will get worse before they get better, but hopefully this is a sign of a positive trend.

Only 4 new cases in Maine today and 10 yesterday. Granted that might be because they can't figure out how to get the tests up here (or Hawk was right about no one wanting to visit Maine in February/March) but you take good news where you can get it.

Massachusetts sits at 525 cases, a rise by 112 from yesterday.

Middlesex County (which includes Sudbury along with Hudson, Natick, and Wayland) remains the highest with 177 cases. In a few days we could be approaching 750+ cases.
