That was reported pretty widely in China, including some people who got better, were released, then died suddenly. They're unsure if they got reinfected or if that's just one of the possible patterns the disease can follow.

Almost everyone in the medical community seems to be in agreement that significantly more people have/had this than just the confirmed cases. And while a lot of people viewed this as bad because it meant the spread was much larger, I always viewed it as a positive, as it meant the fatality rate was much lower.

That would translate to about 30-40 K for us. The Spanish Flu by comparison got 55 K in Canada, so we would not be far off that mark (although the population in 1918 was just over 8 M versus almost 38 M today). Still better than the 600 K the government was throwing around a couple of weeks ago.

If it is "only" 100k deaths, Trump and his cronies will absolutely spin it as a positive and 45 to 50% of registered voters will be dumb enough to buy it.

And some galaxy brained conservatives absolutely believe that NY, Washington State, and other blue state hospitals are hiding supplies to make the numbers to go up to make Trump look bad.

I guess they're still better than the people who think this is all because of 5G.
