I've been turned off by this game since I lost an achievement, or the ability to regain the achievement because xbox hadn't updated their shit when the game came out.

I'll go back to it...but the idea of not being able to get full points makes me hate microsoft.

I was doing a DLC mission and the one you get for drinking the potion. It's unlocked on the Bioware site...but since Xbox didn't updated for the DLC unlocking it was the worst thing I could do. Now it reads as being accomplished but it couldn't pop up because the game wasn't ready for it.

I tried every method there was. Created a new character, deleted my cache, recovered my gamercard, shook my fist at it.

It's a lost cause that they don't have a solution for yet...and probably won't bother fixing.

Someone on another site said it had something to do with the game being housed on Bioware's servers instead of Microsofts...so whereas Microsoft would usually just patch it and you could recover your gamertag and get them again (like I had to do once in Fallout 3) they're stuck because Bioware would have to do it.

They seem to not care. Microsoft fixed the Fallout 3 problem the next day. This has been long enough to tell me that people's emails have gone uncared for.

That's why I got the PS3 version. I haven't had any sort of problems.

Someday I'll get back to playing it again. Also I don't get why people say Assassin's better than Duelist for DPS. If you use all the speed buffs, I think they would be pretty much on par. And really as a Duelist, you just need excellent Willpower to boost your stamina for the loss caused by the speed buffs. I just usually toss my willpower that goes into my constitution into willpower instead. Sure low HP, but hey, if you have a high enough dex and wearing a good armor (drake's superior drakeskin) its not like you need high enough hp.

Besides, slap some heavy armor onto your tank and just let them taunt the buggers away from you. Oh and when you can equip two main hand items, switch from daggers to axes. You lose a bit of armor piercing, but you specifically increase your amount of damage. That's what I did and worked like a charm. Plus its so cool wielding duel axes.

Are daggers like broken or something? Because I stuck with like Enchanted Daggers for a long time because there weren't too many daggers in the tier 4-5 and some in the 6 that I was hitting that much better with. Yeah, I got a few freebies and swapped them in but I was still hitting for the same as if I had the Enchanted. It was weird.

Also since I did duelist for my first one, I'm not sure what my second specialization. A lot of people suggest on boards I've read that assassin and then duelist is a good idea, but I'm kinda wondering how good a bard or a ranger combination would be. Bard would almost let you be kinda close to a champion on the warriors side and ranger would also give you a pet to take away some of the aggro I would think (wolf?).

Shale is awesome. I was getting my ass handed to me by Flemeth until I got him and man it was easy after that, just slap some fire crystal as his armor and let it go to work.

Shale's that good? Hm... Maybe I should hook him up and try it. I managed to beat that stupid High Dragon, but Flemeth kept kickiong my ass.

The High Dragon was odd for me as most my part got killed and the dragon still had 1/4 energy left and I only had Morrigan and so I kept hiding and for some reason the rest of my party came back to life and we killed the dragon.

The Flemeth fight was similar in that Leliana and Allistair got killed during the middle of it and so it was me and Shale. Shale can take a shit load of damage so he was out punching away and doing his thing on Flemeth while I just ran in whenever her back was turned and unleased some of my dual strike moves on her and just kept hitting and running. When Shale's health gets low just switch to him and use one of those health pack things and he'll be good to go for awhile more.

Well Xbox version is back up to price as of this morning but PS3 still down. So if you missed it, then I think you missed it.

Since I have it from Gamefly I don't get the free DLC, but if I don't get it for Christmas I'm just going to buy it. But I figured I'd go ahead and buy the other one, Warden's Keep or whatever it is called. Holy waste of $7 batman. You can literally finish the thing in 20 minutes. Basically it's $7 for a storage chest and some warden armor. Totally should have just been in the original game.

I just traded in a bunch of stuff I've rubbed into the ground and got this. Just started an elf rogue that lives in the woods.

Well, I bit the bullet and played through one more time making it three play throughs and got all the trophies. Suprisingly there is some decent replay value as even on my third go I found new stuff.

Got this game for Christmas and loving it thus far. It reminds me of Mass Effect, except not in space. I went with a Dwarf Commoner Warrior.

I hear they're actually going to fix my problem with the next DLC release.

They better...cause it really ticks me off.

My favorite character in combat so far is the dog. That fucker is mean. I use him to maul spellcasters and archers. The rest of my party is Sten/Alistair (tank), Morrigan (shapeshift and fireball-type shit), and my rogue, Stabby.

Got the game two weeks ago. Blood Armor is cheap as hell and way too overpowered. My party is Main Guy (Human Warrior), Shale (Tank), Morrigan (Damage Mage) and Wynn (Healing Mage). Pretty much tear through everyone. Only annoying part so far was The Fade as it took forever and was pretty boring. Great game though.

The fade is annoying, especially the first time you do it, but there's a ton of places in there that give you a permanent increase to various stats so it's worth it overall.

Couldn't wait anymore. Skipped Arkham Asylum in my queue and started this instead. City Elf. Loved the origin story.

Is there any point to having a healer spellcaster, y'think? I defiled the Ashes of Andraste, so Wynne left. I figure health poultices are easy to come by, and I have everyone in my party set up to basically auto-potion whenever they drop below 50%.

Basically a healer is there in case you lose your potions. Also for the extras you can provide for the mage by specializing just the string of heals and making her healer/buffer/some offense.

Otherwise, no, there really is no point.

There's one thing I'll say about this game that needs to be said, out of all the origins, Human sucks in comparison. I'm quite sure that Human City would've so much better than Human Noble. I mean fuck, even the Dalish Wilds is better than Human Noble.

Also, having a Dwarf without a beard is a fucking CRIME. All Dwarves have beards, its the law!

*created a Dwarf without a beard for Dwarf NOBLE*
