Those PS4 graphics look really nice. The same people that are calling it ugly are the same "games are an artform" people that jizz themselves over every 16-bit indie platformer that gets released, so I really don't pay their opinions any attention.

AMD Radeon HD 7800 would be a series of video cards, rather than a specific card. If you bought the card/computer in the past 3½ years, it should be either an HD 7870 (the listed minimum), or an HD 7850—which is a little less powerful, but should probably be fine.

The other option is you have a card from the Nvidia GeForce 7800 series. (Yes, it's confusing.) Those cards are about 10 years old, and would not cut it.

If you want to know for sure, run DXDiag, switch to the "Display" tab, and your card's "Chip Type" should be near the top-left.

So the review embargo is lifted. Apparently the gist is that it's pretty similar to 3, same old buggy Bethesda in points, and the 3rd act story is one of the most memorable and one of the best game stores in a long time. Nothing too unexpected. Scores are typically in the 8-10 range out of 10.

I went Prime free shipping as well. Should get it tomorrow before 8 PM, but since I work nights I won't be able to play it until Wednesday morning anyway.

Unfortunately I have to work, so between that and fighting for control of the TV I probably won't be able to play much until Friday. I plan on pretty much nonstop marathoning it until Sunday afternoon at that point though. May possibly take a break for relevant football games and maybe a bit of Destiny to change the pace. I doubt it though.

Just checked and it went out for delivery at 3:08 this morning. Is it wrong that I want to somehow find out the UPS truck it's on, track it down, stop it, and get my copy on the way home? Didn't think so.

I'm about an hour in. I like the addition of your character speaking and the graphics are fine and dandy to me. Have seen some bugs with mouth movements not matching words but nothing major so far.

If you're interested in doing something a little outside the box of what Bethesda intended... you can get the Cryolater from the Vault right at the beginning of the game. You just need to have Dogmeat fetch it and he'll smash the glass no problem. Boom, epic weapon from go.

They intended people to go back for it. It requires a lockpicking perk you can only unlock at level 18 or later. But Dogmeat DGAF.

Having so few SPECIAL points was a huge adjustment and made me super uncomfortable. Finding the perception bobble head right away was sweet relief. It'll take a little trial and error to see when it's worth buying a point and when it's better to take a perk. Not having the 100-point skill scale for the first time is weird too, but this is probably a less redundant way of doing it that also makes it so you can't really have a dump stat (like setting Charisma to 1 because you can just level speech to 100).
