FINALLY got an ultimate weapon... Sitting on the 2m gil, I couldn't decide to upgrade Fang or Vanille. Decided to go through with Vanille cause I still need death to take down some enemies. Working out so far, having a higher success rate. Only around level 46 so it's gonna cost a lot to upgrade this bitch to 100.

Only have about 10 missions left but I've gotten slaughtered on a few of the harder ones so I know I need some more upgrading before I can finish the game.

On chapter 9...decided I'm not going to finish this one. The story is boring me to tears, the gameplay was real fun at first, but it's just so repetitive. An above average game that I feel like I SHOULD finish....but playing it feels more like a chore at this point.

I think I'm on chapter 9. About 14 hours in. Not loving it. Just feels like fighting and cut scenes with nothing else going on. Doesn't feel like a Final Fantasy game really.

If you dismantle Fang's Kain Lance or Vanille's Nirvana you get 3 trapazothingers

Ended up with 2 more by upgrading two Genji Gloves real quick and dismantling them.

Attacus was probably the toughest boss I've faced so far...well and Gigantaur was pretty tough too. From what I hear, the boss from the final Cieth Stone is far and away the hardest so I guess we're saving the hardest for last.

I mean, the Junction system was kinda retarded, but also kinda addictive. Squall was a dick and remained a dick throughout, but I thought the other characters were great.

Started this on Sunday, just got to chapter 8 I think. Enjoying it so far, though I am looking forward to it opening up somewhat. Enjoy the combat system and the story. Love Lightning, Zazs is ok, Chick who'se name I don't remember who joins in like chapter 7 is fine so far, Snow is one annoying douchebag and I'm glad he gets hit alot. Hope is one whiney emo motherfucker but I'm hopefully that that is about to change.

Oh and Australian Rikku is ok, but she's starting to get on my nerves.

Can't wait to get to Pulse.

Had this for a month, and I've only just seen Snow... too many other games came out at the same time. Now I feel stupid for buying it and not playing it, should probably sit down and hammer it during my weeks off between jobs.

By the end of the game Snow is awesome.

For all the same reasons he sucked at the beginning. It just gets to a point where you find it hilarious. At least I did.

Only got one battle left. Stone Mission 64. Have 4 Ultimate Weapons about mid leveled up and all my characters have all their main roles maxed with one extra role almost maxed. Not sure I'm ready for this thing but I'm gonna give it a shot. I'm about ready to be done with this game.

Just popped in disc 3 and I think I'm ready to call it quits. Just not having fun. Dunno if I want to stick with it just to see an ending or sell it now while the value is good.

One of the best things about FFVIII is that you can almost eliminate combat completely from it.

I've been stuck at the second fight with barthawhateverhisnameis for awhile now. He dooms me before I even have him to half his hp, so I apparantly have a fuckload of grinding ahead of me. FUCK doom. It's fine in the edolin fights, but total bullshit that every other boss seemingly casts it if you dare to take awhile to kill it.

Had to grind abit for the debuffs, Fang didn't have much more than slow and imperil. But holy damn I didn't realize you could use fortisol and aegisol on bosses. I took half of his HP before the face even fell off and killed him before he could even cast doom. Awesome.

Finally finished mission 64 and killed a Long Gui today. Now the arduous task of 5 starring half of the missions and getting all the weapons/accessories.

I realized I was hours of grinding away from being able to do either so I just gave up and sold the game. I got $36 for it on glyde. I was able to get 10 million HP off the Long Gui and knock him down a second time but I think that's the limit for how leveled up I was... as every time once he got to his feet after the second knockdown he just went stomp/stomp/ultima and ended me with no chance to heal.

Oh yeah... by the end of the game I always had Fang/Vanille and I only rotated Hope and Lightning depending on what the battle called for. I never once used Zash or Snow.
