SAUKVILLE, Wis. (AP) - A Wisconsin woman is facing charges after her 9-year-old son was tied to the roof of their minivan to help hold down a plastic pool.

Prosecutors allege 28-year-old Amber Schmunk had her son hold down the molded pool they'd just purchased because it wouldn't fit inside the van. WISN-TV reports a witness called police after seeing the incident on Sept. 9 in Saukville, about 20 miles north of Milwaukee.

Police documents allege Schmunk told an officer she thought it was OK because her father allowed her to do similar things when she was young.

Schmunk is charged with recklessly endangering safety, which is a felony. She's due in Ozaukee County Circuit Court on Nov. 11.

Court records don't list an attorney who could speak on her behalf.

The parents of a Republican Senate hopeful in Wisconsin have maxed out donations to the primary campaign of the Democrat he hopes to unseat.

Just months after Republican Kevin Nicholson announced his bid to run against incumbent Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.) in 2018, Nicholson’s own parents donated the legal maximum to Baldwin’s primary campaign, CNN reports.

GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) — Investigators say a 61-year-old Wisconsin man was arrested for tearing down a neighbor’s Christmas decorations while drunk and naked.
The Green Bay Gazette reports that Gregory Brannigan faces misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and resisting an officer.

A criminal complaint shows Brannigan’s neighbor called police Wednesday after to report that he was naked, kicking her door and tearing down her decorations. The neighbor told police Brannigan appeared intoxicated.

Officers say the Green Bay man was stumbling and told officers he needed to take care of supposed drug dealers in a neighbor’s apartment.

Investigators say a breath test estimated his blood alcohol level at 0.21, more than twice the legal limit for driving.

A Rock County teenager faces two felony charges after admitting to putting cow sedative in his stepfather's drinks in 2018, court documents say.

In January 2018, Rabenhorst-Malone's stepfather went to the UW Hospital for a droopy face, slurred speech, heavy breathing and stumbling. At the time, doctors told him his symptoms were due to energy drinks, stress and lack of sleep, but when the same thing happened again in April he started monitoring his beverage intake.

The stepfather later found used syringes that he suspected Rabenhorst-Malone was using to put the sedative in his drinks.

Rabenhorst-Malone admitted Feb. 7 that he put the drug into his stepdad's drinks because he "thought it was funny," according to the complaint. He said he never intended to harm his stepfather, but another employee on the farm told police they saw Rabenhorst-Malone put blankets over the stepdad's face and punch him while he was sleeping.

We had a "Polar Vortex" here last week (IIRC) and endured several days of sub zero chills and snow. Then we got our day of spring as it shot to 55 yesterday and flooded the cities as four or 5 feet of snow melted. Basements flooded, evacuations, etc. Then today.....it snowed.

PS...The Packers being out of the race by November really did make the winter longer.
The Bucks being on top of the NBA doesn't register statewide at all.

And this....

Investigators asked David Heiden why he abused the boy. "He's not my kid ... I didn't care," replied Heiden.

GOP Eric Wintenberg is attempting to win a state senate seat over Johnathan Hansen in the Green Bay area. Hansen's uncle held the seat for many years but recently retired. Wittenberg is currently running a radio ad of "Da Bears fans" accusing Hansen of being funded by an Illinois billionaire. It's kind of juvenile, but I guess that's politics today.

I failed to find the ad online.

And the only reason they still have the legislature is gerrymandering. Wisconsin has had one of the worst states for this going back more than 10 years. The Republicans down in Madison have been trump-level awful through this entire time. The statewide elections have been getting better because the GOP can't cancel culture those, but we desperately need the voting maps to change.

Local 5 News did a story last May about Retzlaff going against the Safer-At-Home order in place by Governor Tony Evers. As part of that order, restaurants and bars were barred from opening for in-person dining.

The issue this year is a line on the company’s website which states, “We reserve the right to refuse service: No commies, thieves, illegal substances, Antifa, BLM or other terrorists. Safety is our #1 goal.” When asked about this, Retzlaff said that she believes that good, faithful people come to her camp. “I just say it like it is, you know. Say what you mean and mean what you say,” said Retzlaff. She said that if you don’t agree with her views, you don’t have to come to her camp.

I'm going to a Flea market a bit away from the campground tomorrow morning. I kind of want to pull in and go full libtard.

P sure our governor's gonna veto that thing.
Likely was passed for the sole reason of using a veto against him in attack ads.

"Evers denies workers additional hours!" or some shit.

--
I didn't read the article, but I don't really see an issue with a 14 year old working til 11 on Fri/Sat during school. Farm kids were up at 4:30 to help with chores before school even on school days.

"CHILD LABOR" is a silly extreme IMO, (not to ignore the wage issue being part of mix though)
