I'm glad Slam Wrestling is around to give us in depth stories on the sad life of Renegade.

I never knew Renegade trained at Kowalski's school (but Kowalski was very adamant about having nothing to do with his training personally---)

When JYD returned on WCW (Saturday Night), it was to save Rocky King who was backed into a corner by Flair and Ole Anderson. They kept calling him "boy." I'm sure it was totally edgy, though.

He definitely acted like a goofy jobber parody of Bret Hart, which seemed especially callous since the entirety of his run was right after Bret suffered his career ending injury.

'00 WCW Saturday Night lineups really were wild (and tbh, usually better than the Nitro and Thunder)

Was Jimmy in WCW until the very end? I know he was eventually tasked with booking Saturday Night.

Jimmy Hart was around until the end. I'm honestly really shocked he didn't walk out with Hogan and Bischoff after Bash at the Beach '00. He wrestled Mancow at Mayhem '00, the 5th to last PPV. If you wanted to forget that, I wouldn't blame you.

His Wikipedia says he (re?)joined WCW's creative committee in February 2001, which, boy. Talk about jumping onto a sinking ship. It's nice to know that the Mouth of the South may have had a hand in the death rattle of WCW that @Laz and @Valeyard love so much though!

Jimmy Hart should've gotten brought in when WCW died for music stuff alone. Let him and Cornette book OVW, too.

I'm a little sad Jimmy Hart didn't manage Shane now, silly as it is. They'd click.

Jimmy Hart seemed wildly out of place and dated in WCW after '96. I can't imagine him doing any sort of long term onscreen role in '00s WWE.

I tried to see if they wrote Jimmy Hart off of WCW TV (besides the occasional inexplicable Mancow feuds) and closest thing was him losing a a hardcore match to Norman Smiley in November '99. He was the strap master for the YAPAPI STRAP MATCH at WCW Uncensored '00 too.

Haven't we learned not to assume that second generation talent has inherited their parent's mind for the business (or talent?). Chad Hart seems worse than most though, considering his only exposure was '00 WCW squashes.

20+ years later, I still can't tell if Johnny the Bull was horribly miscast or perfectly cast in the dying days of WCW? He seems like the later day Power Plant doofs that'd fit in best in ECW.

I feel obligated to point out anytime I mention Johnny the Bull the time that he tore his urethra on Monday Nitro since it's still incredibly gruesome to think about.

It's not a TNA thread or otherwise I'd point out RELLIK is "killer" spelled backwards.

Except I just did. Whoops.

Stamboli is one of those guys I think could've been a solid player. I mean at least if Vito could've been.

So as Kamala or whoever revealed, this is Gary Hart's kid. How do you have a multi decade booking and managing genius at home and instead of coming up with a mildly fresh idea, use your real(?) last name and mimic Bret? Really remarkable.
Maybe Gary saw Chad try to wrestle and said, "the only chance you have is to imitate Bret Hart and try to milk it."

He definatley had potential. I think his contract was picked up by WWE in the sale but never got out of development and quickly flamed out shortly after.

Dude was too small for pre-2004 WWE. He'd have done really well, if they'd let him, like so so so many others.

Now him taking Low Ki's spot in Triple X, that's where I wonder what might've happened.
