Curse reversed. Dallas scored its first playoff win since 1996 and crushed the defending conference champs while they were at it, rolling Arizona 38-9 and marching onwards to their NFL record 15th conference title game. No Felix Jones? No problem. "The Closer" pitched a complete game, Barber storming for 234 yards and 4 touchdowns on 22 carries. The Cowboys will rest some of their roughed-up starters (Romo, Brooking, and Anderson all were knocked out of the game at points, as well as the aforementioned Jones) and wait to host San Francisco or Carolina.

So it looks like we are waiting on:

AFC Divisional:
11-5 Patriots at the 14-2 Steelers.

The Steelers have homefield thru-out the playoffs and are tied for the best record in the AFC with Houston but take on a tough Patriots team that despite missing key players has proven they can win the tough games.

NFC Divisional:
11-5 49ers at the 13-3 Panthers.
San Francisco is looking to "Gore" their way into the NFC Championship game but will have to get past a Panthers team that has blown expectations out of the water and have a potent offense that can end a game by halftime.

Predictions: Patriots in OT / Panthers by double digits.

Hilariously, we just finished. I escaped to the NFC title game 27-24. More details once I get over the series of heart attacks the game induced.

Now we wait on PK's Pats v. bps' Steelers.

We got it done.

This game went down to the wire.

Carolina wins 27-24 on a last second FG.

He went ahead with less than 2 minutes left, then I got a kick return inside the 20 and was forced to settle for 3.

The biggest factor here was 2 missed field goals by Joe Nedney. They would have put me up by 10 both times.

The 2nd biggest factor (IMO) was the fact that I replicated the 49ers offense in real life by going 0-6 on 3rd down.

It should also be noted that I never intended on returning either of those long kick returns (that will be mentioned) out of the end zone. I took my hands off the controller to hopefully knee it and start a drive at the 20, but for some inexplicable reason, it decides to just start running the ball out by itself.

He just ran up about 200 yards on 2 kickoff returns that I blasted to the back of the end zone. 108 for a TD (right after I kick a FG to make it 14-10, so now it's 21-10) and a high 90s return to my 8 yard line (took 3 miracle defenders to finally haul Makino down) with under 2 minutes to go & me leading by 24-21.

Should've squibbed the second one, but I was hoping it'd go out of the end zone.

Nedney sure did Vanderjagt on you, though.
