4 turnovers just cost me dearly against Minnesota (Loaded Glove)

I had 222 yards passing from Hill and 139 yards and 1 TD on 17 carries from Frank Gore.

I lost 31-14.

Vikings 31, 49ers 14

Game changed early in the second quarter when it was tied 7-7, Agent Bond was inside my 15 but Frank Gore fumbled and Kevin Williams recovered id. Sage Rosenfels hit Bernard Berrian for an 87-yard TD pass on the next play. Shaun Hill fumbled on the next offensive play and Ben Leber recovered it, Adrian Peterson scored on a 14-yard run on the next play. Went up 21-7 into halftime and that was it. Really struggled on offense though. Rosenfels was a paltry 10-of-18 for 215, a TD and an INT. Peterson had 12 carries for 63 yards and 2 TD. Defense carried me again, coming up with 3 sacks, 2 INTs and 2 fumble recoveries. I couldn't stop Gore though, he ran for 139 yards and broke about a million tackles.

That took at least 2-3 potential TDs away from me.

I was kinda surprised at how well I was doing with Gore.

Yeah, that first turnover especially changed things. If you score there, who knows what happens. Gore just wouldn't go down on the first hit.

Dallas wins a punishing defensive battle 20-10, with one offensive touchdown scored, 252 yards between the teams, and 6 turnovers. Game said the MVP went to Keith Brooking (fumble returned for a touchdown), but I'm giving the game ball to Terence Newman, who had 2 picks and basically shut down Steve Smith but for one play. It was about 50 times more fun than dropping 50 on the computer, for sure.

*grumble grumble* I couldn't do anything. With anybody. Nobody was open, and there were no running lanes, the second I touched the ball the block closest to the ball carrier fell apart.

And with that, the mass roster rotation begins. Brought in a different punter, swapped out some of my receiving corps (only to find that you can't edit positions in OF so the WR I found that'd be a good TE is stuck being useless #4WR), grabbed another defensive end so I can ditch Brayton, a third corner so I can move Munnerlyn to starting SS and get a 3rd string HB returning kicks & punts.

Won an unexpectedly close game against Jay Cutler and the Bears at Qwest Field. The score indicates a game that was much closer than it had any right being, I had a stupid, stupid interception and a fumble on a QB sack that were both returned for TD's and gave the Bears a shot at beating me. Thankfully I think I might have the best receiving corps in the league after Broward's, so I pulled out the win. My rookie running back is also a speed demon, and y'all are hopefully going to be learning his name by the end of this year.

God, I am so sick of how cheap All-pro is. I was having a fine game, up 10-0 on the Rams and getting the ball back after halftime, then as soon as the second half starts, I can't do anything. Then Stephen Jackson broke literally 8 tackles for a 70-odd yard TD run to tie the game, after the Rams had intercepted me and kicked a field goal.

Then, my potential game winning kick in regulation bounced off the right crossbar despite me sending it straight down the middle and there being no wind in the E.J. dome. I got lucky and recovered a fumble in OT which led to the game winning field goal.

If All-Pro wasn't the perfect difficulty for human vs. human play, I'd change it in a second. But for that reason, I can't.

Erm, I forgot his name at the time I posted that, ironically enough. But looking it up really quick on the Online page, it's Antone Smith. Rookie running back from Florida State. I mean, just about anything's better than fucking Julius Jones. TJ Duckett is still a good 3rd down back, though. Big bruiser to help pick up short distance first downs, and also good at blocking for passing downs.

Sorry King, my shifts are all over the place this week and due to the fact I was lacking sleep and we were nearing 100F, well, I fell asleep. That's totally on me, since I said I would be open for today and was (minus the sleeping part).

Unfortunately, the time you suggested is the time I work tomorrow. Its from 5pm EST till ... Well 8 hours later, so like 1am EST? So we're kinda screwed there unless you wanna stay up till 2-3am EST.

I've got Saturday off (thank God!) and since I have nothing planned, just need to clear it over with the housemates, nothing should get in my way then.

Really sorry about falling asleep. I just can't get to sleep at 8pm for these 4am to 5am shifts, and in the last 8 days, that's been 6 of them and that's why I crashed.

If we can't get together for it, I'll accept it as a loss to me since I set this up and screwed up.

BTW, I'll say this right now: I'm willing to move some parts to acquire a #2 WR if there are any takes.

Oh, and VX, I'll trade you Norwood under the same conditions or if you can give me an offer that works.

Hey Broward, the roomies and I were playing Scene It for a few hours yesterday. Any time Sunday night is good, or any time Monday afternoon after 3ish (eastern). Other than that, I work Tuesday-Friday 9-5. I play golf Thursday nights, and the actual season starts, so we'll probably have to rule it out.
