I managed to, in the same span of four quarters, win a game I absolutely should have, and win a game I had no business winning.
KC and I had a great game going. I get the ball at half and quickly tie the game up at 7, force a three-and-out, and control the ball for most of the rest of the second half.
With two minutes to play, I'm at their eleven-yard line, with all kinds of momentum. I throw a quick pass to Run DMC on first and ten, who catches it for two then eats up some yard. I dive to get the first...and fumble. I still have all my timeouts, so, even though KC storms upfield, I manage to get the ball back with about a minute left. The game's still tied, because they miss a twenty-five yard field goal. I go three and out, punt, but on first down, Larry Johnson breaks for about 50 yards, and they're back down to a thirty-yard field goal. They wind the clock down to three seconds, call time, make the kick with no time left on the clock, but get penalized on the play, and we're off to OT.
They won the flip, but I forced a three-and-out and won with a field goal, even converting a third-and-ten from my 35 to keep the drive going.
