Each article or post about the Brewers seems to have a pundit saying the Brewers are "historically quiet with trades."
-1981 Rollie Fingers, Ted Simmons, and Vuke in a blockbuster trade puts them in the playoffs for the first time
-1982 they trade for future HOFer Don Sutton and go to their only World Series
-2008 a blockbuster gets them CC Sabathia, the greatest half season any ballplayer's ever had, and their first October in a generation
-2011 another blockbuster gets Greinke and almost back to the World Series
-2018 they get Yelich in the offseason, Moose at the deadline, and go toe to toe with the billion dollar Dodgers in the NLCS
Their 5 best years in the history of the team were fueled by monster trades. Maybe the office should weigh this well known history a little heavier than the stuff the press makes up?
