Yeah, I just got it and it's super fun. I get so mad sometimes with missed putts and hazards but I guess it's just like real golf in that way.

The first games with gold for XBox One are now live. It's Max curse of brotherhood and Halo Spartan Assault. I had previously bought Max, beat it and liked it. For free it's totally worth a play.

EDIT: Actually hold up on that. You can download them for free but when they try to install it won't finish. So...until they clean that up ignore all that.

Microsoft's decision to modify its free and paid Xbox Live service offerings was announced the same day as the $399 Kinect-less Xbox One console, which will be available starting Monday, June 9. Free-to-play and subscription-based games like The Elder Scrolls Online will still require a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription to play online, however.

It's interesting how many of these announcements of things they made before E3. They announced like 45 new apps coming (including hbo go finally coming to xbox one...which is really all anyone cared about), the dropping of kinect and getting rid of the paywall for apps. These were all (seen as by most) positive things that they'd normally save for the presentation. The only thing other non game announcement that has to be coming is that they're going to drop the parity clause for indie games that is archaic and everyone hates. It worked last gen because they had a bigger install base and could dictate...but now they're number two and turning away quality games because of your fine print doesn't fly.

Is 360 stock getting low? I actually tried to find one since I figured they would be cheap to buy now.. I couldn't find any in-store (Futureshop or BestBuy).

This bundle is in the current Best Buy flyer. $260 isn't especially cheap, though. There hasn't been any major price slashing on the old consoles yet, unless you're buying used. Maybe if you catch a specific store's clearance sale. MSRP is still pretty high.

I wouldn't bet on them doing it. Obviously wait until next Monday to see if they do announce one at their press conference...but when the 360 came out they just pretended the original console never existed. I expect the same attitude now.

Seems like you see a lot of the Kinect bundles on sale rather than just the system alone. They probably want to clear all those out for all the XBONE w/Kinect bundles that they will now have to sit on.

Got my One up and running finally. I've had it for a couple weeks now, but didn't have time to get everything set up until today. Have Forza, Watch Dogs, and Wolfenstein so far. That should keep me occupied for a while as I'm still not through all of my games from the last generation.

I got a One finally. I wish the store was more organized. You can't really browse and you need to know what you want. I wish there were retro games on it like when the 360 came out (Paperboy, SF2).

You can browse games by just clicking the --- under New Releases. There's only like 50 games at this point so you can see them all. Then when you click on the game you can do the same for that games addons. Any new games will be at the top of the new releases anyway so that's how I do it.

The Aaron Paul Xbox One commercial turns my console on every time it airs when he says Xbox on. Thankfully I turned off the feature where it turns on and off the TV or Aaron Paul would shut my TV off every time that ad comes on

I had it running through there for a while and when I got a new TV I never hooked it back through after I set it up. I'll get around to it...I liked having it through there.

Guacamelee: Turbo Championship Edition is now free with Gold. I think this marks the first time that a free Xbox game was a new release (well...new to this console anyway). ...I don't know why I said I think it is when I know it is.

I will give it a shot. I didn't care for the Halo game nor Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. I'm dying for something to play until Destiny comes out.

Guacamelee is a cool game. It's got parts of Super Metroid, pro wrestling (specifically lucha, obviously), and a little bit of Ninja Turtles--all of which were big favourites of mine when I was younger. I didn't necessarily find them good enough to be funny, but the dialogue and characters are written in a whimsical, amusing sort of way. The music is pretty fantastic, and there is a neat seamless switching between two mixes that goes with the gameplay.

I'm not sure what's in this new version over the Gold Edition, but hopefully it comes to PC eventually.

Motocross Madness is the current free 360 game.....and it's pretty fucking decent.

Rise of the Tomb Raider just announced as an XBone exclusive at Gamescom, also it won't be coming out until Holiday 2015.

And it only has a timed exclusivity. Could be on ps4 a year later perhaps.

I'm trying to get into Dishonored, but the stealth mechanics are so shitty (compounded by the fact it's first person) and the first loading screen tip I saw was "don't kill a lot of people or you get a bad ending" so I'm trying to sneak but the stealth mechanics are SO shitty....

I've played a little bit of Dishonored on Steam, and haven't gotten far enough to be in the proper game yet, but just having that lean action seems like it'd be a big deal. Coming off the beginning of Far Cry 3, where it seems like more of a guess of who'll see you, until that awareness meter pops up.

Dishonored is way more fun when you go HAM and use all the cool tools to murder everybody. I enjoyed the stealth approach sometimes, like when sneaking around in houses trying to find keys or whatnot, but like you said, the mechanics are pretty clumsy in most of the environments.

Shit, Sunset Overdrive comes out next week? Between Destiny, Shadow of Mordor, Sunset Overdrive, the Fable Legends beta, and soon Dragon Age: Inquisition, I wish these games were spaced out a little better. I had a lack of games for months and now a flood.
