Well if the last game is any indication, running the ball is a matter of not getting hit at all now. Breaking tackles with a nicely times stiffarm are in the past, so now it's time to air it out and pray.

Dammit, I TCU'd it and lost to UCONN 30-23.
Fuckin Harley and his abandonware QB that transferred to UCONN got to start and threw all over me.

I just want to say this is hilarious. Marscovetra lights you up in Year 1 and then manages to do it again in Year 3 with a completely different program.

Got video of the beauty of a TD pass he threw that pretty much put me away, at least. Dropped it in the damn bucket, he did.

No, you had to do it to make the running somewhat realistic, stat wise, I was just whining because it gets a tad frustrating when there is 0% chance of any breaking tackles now. I'll live.

well, oldskool's girlfriend tried to IM him when he was getting his ass handed to him by Rutgers. One terse IM later he was more focused, and went on a second-half tear.

Final score, SU 45, Rutgers 28, oldskool's chance of rounding the bases this weekend 0.

So confession time! I fucked up. Instead of Rush Defense, I increased the Pass Rush.

Yet, somehow, this made the run game that much harder! So I made two tweaks for this week. Pass Rush I lowered from 90 to 80 to lessen the pressure everyone's feeling and of course, I lowered tackling to 60 like I said I would.

Now the reason why Pass Rush effects the run game, is because it helps with engaging and disengaging with the blockers. Why it effects the run game as well as the pass, I don't know, but there you go.

I apologize though for this screw up, but hey! This might be my last tweak ever! Hurray!

Army Lands MLB Recruit
** Mark Maxwell - 6'0" 223

#5 BC Stomps Army 37-24

They just ran the Option all over my sorry carcass and had multiple long runs. I basically stat padded in the 4th quarter with the passing game. QB Dave Shinskie threw for 86 and ran for 86. FB Joey Blair ran for 155 and RB Rolandan Finch ran for 38.

On the Army side...
QB Trent Steelman: 29/44 (65.9%) for 359 yards and 2 TD. He found 8 receivers.
RB Edwin Baker: 10 carries for 13 yards and 1 TD. 4 catches for 36 yards.
WR Marcus Jackson: 7 catches for 104 yards.
WR Geoffrey Bacon: 6 catches for 94 yards and 1 TD.
TE Patrick Laird: 4 catches for 47 yards and 1 TD.
WR Lonnie Liggins: 4 catches for 33 yards.

Special Mention: My kicker had a season high 39 yard FG.

#2 Georgia defeats Florida 17-5

I think this is all you need to know. It was 2-3 at half time. God, defensive struggles suck.

Well, I'm probably going to lose quite a few marks with the coaches again. There goes my #2 spot to Penn State. Fuck.

Yeah, but the way I played will factor in. I honestly didn't do a good job at all, and if it wasn't for the fumble returned for the TD, I would've only won 5-10. I guess I should be happy though that my team was able to play well defensively for the most part.

I signed yet another 3 4* recruits. Hurray me!

Also I updated the main post to include the BCS Rankings. And I guess I can enjoy this bye week because I gotta start up all over again.

And man, I wish the Media poll was still used for BCS Rankings. Just seeing that Stanford only has 2 votes for 1st place and Georgia with 36 brings a smile to my face because they know who the real #1 team of America is!

Ouch. Flik, I know the "rule" is that you advance after all of the games are done but you might want to change that to making sure everybody has clicked the advanced/ready to advance button. Those on bye weeks may not check in until later or if you play a game before recruiting and forget to recruit could get screwed.

Hey, uh, you agreed to all games played = advance week. Thanks.

We had it that way to be of ease for the league to continue on. If people don't want it that way, I'm cool with changing it. It can be either or for all I care.

I am not apologizing though, for how it was previously since everyone agreed to that and thought that was totally fair.

Ok, make sure I get on to do recruiting IMMEDIATELY after the week is advanced for fear of everyone playing their games in 1 day, check.

I wouldn't mind changing it to having everybody ready to advance. It automatically does that when you play a game/use up your recruiting hours anyway. Even if you don't use up the recruiting hours, you can still physically click it (on the PS3 anyway).

Still surprised this type of situation didn't occur earlier considering we're midway through Season 3.

1) We'll be changing to advance week, because we're moving quickly anyways. Makes it less of a hassle for me, so hurray!

2) Cartman, seriously. Chill. Look back at the way you wrote that post and you'll notice all I did was copy and past it in my original reply. I'm cool with changing it, and I will because I am awesome like that.

And if you don't calm down, I'll transfer you to Western Kentucky University for a week. Just to remind you that its a game. Besides you are big, bad TCU. Not like a measly week off is going to stop people from loving you.

3) Its happened 3 times. Once each season. So yes, this has happened "earlier".

Now then...

Hey, uh, play your games so I can play more. Thanks. :p

Speaking of Cartman, you really should change to a BCS conference team next year or at least a mediocre non-BCS conference team. Don't you get bored of steamrolling the Mountain West?

My season is about to get tougher as I lost my starting running back Stepfan Taylor for the year with a broken elbow.

Looks like we're just waiting on Oldskool. Hope the SO didn't kill him over the weekend for the "terse IM", hah.

Still alive, somehow. Will get game in tonight after I get home...if it's not in by midnight tonight just sim past me.

And if I win the Big East again solely because the rest of the conference beat themselves up then I'm switching teams too, I shouldn't get handed BCS game invites just because everyone else can't stop losing.

We have to just turn penalties off since it abuses the CPU far, far, far too much compared to User teams. We're all top 5 in fewest penalties called, big shocker. I lead everybody with 11 and Syracuse has the most with just 28 (team after him has 39).

Here's the breakdown of penalties by my opponents... [CPU on Left, Me on Right]
Week 2 Ball State: 9 for 100 vs. 2 for 25
Week 3 Temple: 19 for 179 vs. 2 for 30
Week 4 Rutgers: 7 for 50 vs. 1 for 9
Week 5 San Diego State: 2 for 15 vs. 2 for 20
Week 6 Ohio: 3 for 30 vs. 1 for 10
Week 7 SMU: 4 for 50 vs. 1 for 10
Week 8 BC: 5 for 35 vs. 2 for 20

CPU Total: 49 for 459 (That's roughly 5-7 TD taken away) vs. 11 for 124 (roughly 1-3 TD taken away)

Out of curiosity here's how the penalties broke down in the games Flik has played as Georgia.

SMU: 9 for 68 vs. 2 for 25
Louisville: 8 got 74 vs. 2 for 20
South Carolina: 16 for 160 vs. 2 for 25
Kentucky: 7 for 60 vs. 1 for 10
Alabama: 6 for 40 vs. 2 for 15
Tennessee: 2 for 20 vs. 2 for 20
Florida: 1 for 5 vs. 2 for 15

CPU Total: 49 for 427 vs. 13 for 110

It's no coincidence that the closest games (San Diego State & BC for me, Alabama & Tennessee & Florida for Flik) had either the fewest penalties called against the CPU or the fewest yards called.

Finally here's TCU, just computer only.
Alabama: 6 for 75
UNLV: 14 for 139
San Diego State: 2 for 15
Colorado State: 5 for 44
Navy: 6 for 45
BYU: 5 for 50

CPU Total (Not including Virginia game): 38 for 368

For me the only time I've been sacked is just because I hold the ball too long. Or I try making a play that just isn't there. I'll update later on, so be prepared!

Week 10 is now on. And hurray, TE W. Massey signed with me now giving me better depth at the TE position. I'll finally have the depth at plenty of positions I've been wanting for for a long time now.

Damn, I'm not playing very good football right now offensively. I mean, sure I won 41-14, but it definitely wasn't because of my offense. Turning the ball over 3 times via interceptions and not getting to 100 yards rushing as a team hurt. If it wasn't for the fact that I continually step up defensively...

That's the nice thing I've got going with my dynasty. If I'm good offensively, my defense croaks. If my offense goes, my defense rocks.
