Well, from a post I read on EA Sports main forums, there's apparently a patch coming that's supposed to fix the disconnecting problem and user vs user issue. So yeah... We're probably stuck on Week 1, till that gets resolved.

A&M had no such issues, escaping Yon Coliseum with a 26-21 upset victory. Lost my star return man to a shoulder injury though, 10 weeks out. To offset, got a 2* kicker to replace the punter I have kicking right now. 99 kick power is nasty, I made a 58 yard field goal.

Shootout but I did just enough on D (a forced punt and a late INT) to pull off the victory. Flik was mostly stuffing any runs (outside of a long 54) so I was forced to go pass happy, which played to my strength and his weakness. I also completely dominated the TOP on purpose and it showed.

I knew my pass defense was going to be bad, but having the secondary blow assignments continually just sucked.
I'm definitely not going to win 10 games this season if I can't get a better job out of them. We'll be updating to Week 2 shortly. Watch thread header for that change.

Also, I found out why my defense was always allowing huge gains through the air, like B-War. Apparently I had it set at 61 for Rush/Pass, instead of 51. Thus, they continually were looking to contain the run, rather than play the pass. Would also explain why I've nearly been burned by computer teams last year via the pass, and also why Bored also torched my secondary.
Oh, I'm probably still going to lose to Cartman in Week 4, because my secondary is still the absolute pits, but at least now it'll stop blowing assignments. After all, 3 CPU AI picks by my defense should indicate I'm moving in the right direction.

I would say that Flik, just because I can kill the cpu doesn't mean I play well against real players. This week started slow, down 7-2 after the first quarter, and finished brutal for my former team. TCU definitely wasn't as good this year as they were the last 2 years rating wise either. Good time to move on.
