Edit: Also, anyone know a good play book I can use to play a 3WR, 1TE, 1HB Trips formation? I want to play that mostly since I have tons of success with it.

Quick Reflection: Syracuse PB = New Orleans Saints from Madden '10

I did the following knowing you're ideally looking for an Indianapolis Colts style offense. All formations not indicated with 2 WR = 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 HB look.

One Back Books
Boston College: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Slot Flex, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Tight, Shotgun Normal, Shotgun Normal Flex Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips, Shotgun Wing Trips Weak, Shotgun Trey [10 Formations]
Washington State: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Y-Trips, Shotgun Normal, Shotgun Normal HB Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak, Shotgun Wing Trips Weak, Shotgun Trips Over [9 Formations] - More Reminiscent of Current Colts
Oregon State: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Slot Flex, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Trips, Shotgun Normal Flex, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak [7 Formations] - Most Reminiscent of 2001-2006 Colts
UTEP: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Slot Wing, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Trips, Shotgun Normal HB Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak [7 Formations]
Miami Ohio: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Y-Trips, Shotgun Normal, Shotgun Normal HB Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak, Shotgun Trips Over [7 Formations]
Memphis: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Trips, Shotgun Normal, Shotgun Normal HB Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak [7 Formations]
Alabama: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot Flex, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Wing Trio, Shotgun Normal Flex, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak, Shotgun Trio [7 Formations]
One Back General: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Y-Trips, Ace Trips, Shotgun Normal HB Weak, Shotgun Y-Trips HB Weak, Shotgun Wing Trips [7 Formations]
Eastern Michigan: Ace Big (2 WR), Ace Slot, Ace Slot Flex, Ace Y-Trips, Shotgun Normal HB Weak [5 Formations]

I did manage to get my game in, and A&M wins the home opener 27-20 over Arkansas. Fuckin SEC speed is a bitch, I couldn't get anything going, it took some miracle catches to move the offense & a shanked extra point by Arkansas made it 20-20 throughout the 4th instead of me being down 1 & playing accordingly.

I learnt a very valuable lesson today.

Harley's been right all this time, and I've been so very, very, wrong. I'm apologizing here and now.

You are totally right.

Well, week 6 is now on and my season is now going to be decided with this very game, because if I can't even hang around with Bama, I'm going to be destroyed by the rest of the SEC.

Funny though, I got some 4* signings, even though my team isn't playing too well.

 #13 Georgia wins 23-14 over #3 Alabama.

What a game. It was back and forth, so many stoppages, I corrected my defenses biggest problems with this game and I managed to hold out for the win.

Two huge plays are what lead to finish. Both of these were defensive plays, which made me happy, because my offense would do its job.

The first was a huge tackle (classified as a sack) from DE TJ Stripling on Bama's QB AJ McCarron that lead to my other defensive end, Shawn Williams, nabbing the errant ball for my only interception of the contest, but it was a huge one. Didn't lead to any points, but gave me a huge boost in confidence.

The second play was again caused by TJ. After a holding call with 3:06 in the third left them back at 1st and 20 with only a touchdown to tie, TJ bursts around the corner and just hammers AJ for a sack. This was huge because it pushed them back to their 8 yard line. after that a sack via my defensive tackle Mike Thornton and I got the ball back up 23-14.

Now then, you might've seen something that post earlier, in which I apologized to HarleyQuinn. That's because he was always hounding me on why I passed so often instead of playing to my strength, which is the ground game. I tried it out in Week 5 and it worked much better than trying to be a pass orientated team, and I felt more satisfaction out of it, so I apologized because of that.

Can't believe I held them to under 200 yards passing and 90 yards rushing. I feel really, really, really stupid now that I didn't start doing this before.

- DE Matt Moore (*) - 6'5" 242

Army Breezes Past Hawai'i 45-24

Worth noting is that Hawai'i did not attempt a single run the entire game. The defense and the ground game were the story for Army in the win.

Hawai'i QBs: 30/60 for 490 yards and 3 TD vs. 2 INT

QB Angel Santiago: 12/31 for 164 yards with 2 TD vs. 2 INT
RB Edwin Baker: 15 carries for 84 yards and 2 TD. 83 yard KR for a TD
WR Geoff Bacon: 4 catches for 62 yards
TE Todd Vinson: 4 catches for 63 yards

SS Thomas Hurst: 3 Sacks
SS Hampton Hughes: 2 Sacks

1 Sack for DE Bobby Lyons, LB Bill Prosko, CB Larry Cunningham, and DT Alan White. DE Marlon Lemon had an INT TD. LB Vince Ewing also had an INT.

After a Cartman fail-to-load finish I end up winning anyway, albeit 28-7 instead of 48-19.

Okay, so we've got a slight situation.

Remember how last season I put in those new AI settings and everything was wonderful, no real complaints?

Well, I just checked the AI settings and they are set to not how we had them at the end of last season. Why was I looking at the settings you might ask? I was toying around with my settings offline in trying to figure out how to get play action to work once again (and stupidly saved them on my profile), so when I went to look at our current settings managed to run into that little surprise. And for the record, since changing them last season, I haven't touched them.

So what do we do? I'm not exactly sure. I've fixed up the main post with how everything is currently set. I'd like your opinions on the matter.

IIRC the "changes" were 60-65 Tackling, 70 Pass Rush, and 70 Run D for the CPU.

Given how far we are into the season, normally I'd say keep what we have but I have concerns that we'd run into the same situation (you update sliders and they don't stick).

I'm for putting the "current" sliders to what they should have been next week going forward. We'd already seen them last year and it shouldn't be that much of a difference. I also wouldn't mind knocking down pass rush to 60 and boosting run defense to 80 myself (same as it was on All-American).

We're 7 weeks in, I've decided to fuck it all and keep the settings as is for the remainder of the season. We'll correct everything this off-season, as I don't wanna screw anyone up.

Oh yeah, week 7 is on now. Go play.

Army Survives Vanderbilt 16-12 In Snow

Fuck this game hard. I couldn't do anything offensively and defensively I sucked just as hard. This was as depressing a victory as I'll ever have. It literally feels like a loss instead. Their HBs had 94 and 57 yards rushing each. Their QB was 11/17 for 140 and 2 TD.

QB Angel Santiago: 10/18 for 156 yards and 1 INT.
RB Edwin Baker: 17 carries for 63 yards. 2 catches for 59 yards.
RB Brady Earnhardt: 7 carries for 37 yards.

Sacks by DT Alan White, DT Austin George, and LB Bill Prosko. INT by LB Lionel Mooney. FR for a TD by CB Ben Francis and FR by LB Vince Ewing.

Uploaded a couple highlights so ya'll can see the awesomeness that is a night snow game.

Georgia puts Tennessee out of its misery 35-18

This was a lot closer than you'd think. I was only up 21-18 and then I got an FU TD for them running all over me, and then I just turned around and laid the smackdown on them with a run that was only going to start up the clock but went for a TD anyways.

I allowed over 100 yards rushing by a team, and I'm going to make sure that I fix the f'n problem. Stupid defense.

And Chase continues his quest for the Heisman with 27 for 151 and 5 TDs. His longest run being 19 yards.

I didn't think you'd whallop #4, so yeah, good luck with that run.

And since I'm #9, I probably actually have an outside shot (with a lot needing to go my way), in getting in. Like the Mad-Hatter himself would and did.

I've determined that for the User, 60 RBA is a must (it's currently at 50). I tested another dynasty using the exact same settings and the RBs alone played much different at 50 compared to 60.

At 50, the 95 Speed vs. 88 Speed mostly played the same, as did the power backs who were 225+. With 60 RBA, the power backs break more tackles while the 95 Speed back shows his speed better. People mention how AA = "Players Play to Their Ratings" but on Varsity with 60 RBA, the players on offense and defense seemed to play much more true to their ratings as well. This may partly explain why QBs or RBs go off on various teams for the CPU as they're set at 60 RBA.

Week 8 is now on. Army's got a week off.

As for what you say HQ, that might not be a bad idea.

A&M thrashes Kansas State 38-7. Ranked #16 in the coaches poll (I blame TSM bias) and yet #10 in the media poll. BCS standings after this week, I believe, & they're what matter.

Nevermind on the Very Slow. It seems to cause a momentum swing to the OL that is too much in their favor.

My apologies in not updating the league. Had a double shift yesterday in which I badly burnt my index and thumb on my right hand, plus having two shifts made me dead tired. Just got home from my shift today, so league is now updated.

Both Army and Georgia are on byes. LSU, Stanford, and Texas A&M get to play!

Hey folks, here's some things I'd like you to try:
All-American Difficulty
Slow Speed

User AI
QB Accuracy: 60
WR Catching: 30
RB Ability: 60
Run Blocking: 70
Pass Blocking: 60
Pass Coverage: 40
Pass Rush: 50
Interceptions: 40
Tackling: 50
FG Power: 55
FG Accuracy: 55
Kickoff Power: 0

Punt Accuracy: 55

CPU AI

WR Catching: 35
RB Ability: 65
Run Block: 85
Pass Coverage: 40
Pass Rush: 50
INT: 40
Rush Defense: 50
Tackling: 50
FG Power: 55
FG Accuracy: 55
Punt Power: 0
Punt Accuracy: 55
Kickoff Power: 15

These are the settings I've tested for the upcoming year. The reason why I'd like to move it back to All-American is because we're having a bit too easy of a time playing these games. I'd like a little more challenge honestly. With All-American, the defenses will play accordingly to how you play and also seem to take what you did last game(s) and apply a defensive style for that game.

I'd like you opinions on them and see what you honestly think of them. If you could get back to me in this thread with if you think they are good for the league, that would be great. The only problem I see is that if say you play a B+ offense against a C- team, you are going to blow them out.

Also, I signed the awesome Mark Austin this week. QB #2 in the country (#5 overall)! I shall dominate you all with his awesomeness! As soon as Bobby Rowe graduates.

Iowa State worked so hard to get into the top 25, only to get steamrolled 55-0 by the #11 Texas A&M Aggies. I am flying up the polls week by week.

BTW, oldskool, looking at the remainder of your schedule you might be able to squeeze into the Top 3. As long as you win out.

Could very well be. I've got Utah who's currently top 5, and both Texas & Baylor are currently ranked. Pollsters love rocketing me up the rankings, if I win out I should definitely be top 5.

All irrelevant though as it'd only put me at 4* prestige so I'll be down in the 10-20 range starting next season and be unable to climb high enough to get into the national title game.

Army Stomps Air Force 42-13

Thanks to a strong second half, I easily rolled past Air Force to improve my record to 6-2 on the season. Most of the sacks came in the 4th quarter when I pinned my ears back and went after the QB. Took me a while to get going though and I was actually down 13-7 at the half.

Air Force's main RB/FB combined for 117 yards on 22 carries (5.32). Their QB also threw for 163 on me.

QB Angel Santiago: 24/33 (72.7%) for 335 yards with 4 TD vs. 1 INT
RB Edwin Baker: 8 carries for 119 yards and 2 TD. 6 catches for 90 yards and 2 TD.
WR Geoff Bacon: 10 catches for 131 yards and 1 TD.
WR Ryan Morgan: 2 catches for 35 yards and 1 TD.

Defensively I had 1 sack each from CB Dylan Mohamed, CB Ben Francis, SS Thomas Hurst, and DT Daniel White.
