I'm one of the most pro "right to protest" people out there. Even when it's for shit I don't agree with. If these fuckheads wanted to sit outside Parliment and protest without the bigrigs and the TRYING TO SET A BUILDING ON FIRE....(deep breath) then I'd be way less bothered. But what is going on is an insurrection.

This isn't going to end without violence IMO. Ford and Trudeau are both trying to make the other take responsibility in Ontario. The police on Ottawa have been feckless. The list of mistakes has been nearly endless. It is spreading like an infection. These fuckheads have been nothing but emboldened.

The Ottawa Mayor is offering to meet with the protesters if they clear out from residential areas (meaning still in Parliament Hill) he claims he has an agreement with Lich. This is fucking insane. It's also come out (i'm away from the pc or i'd post links) that the Ottawa police still have not developed a plan on how to deal with this. Counter-protesters are out in force.

Meanwhile in other cities and at the border in Ontario the police are actually doing a decent job at clearing this shit out. The failure of the authorities in Ottawa on a municipal and federal level are going to have serious long-term consequences for this country.
