Wish he'd hung around in wrestling. I feel like he'd have been a fun journeyman in the MMA dark ages.
There was a point in time where WCW was going to hire UFC/MMA guys to come in and job to Goldberg (since his gimmick was supposed to be Eric showing Vince how to properly book Shamrock) Then WCW got cold feet that Vince would pay the guys more to double cross Goldberg and beat him.

I remember there was a American Gladiators rip off show called Battle Arts or something like that and Midajah's husband was part of the show with other dudes that was going to be an invasion angle headed by Bishoff to go up against Russo's crew but after the Bash At The Beach 2000 fiasco it was DOA after Bishoff walked out with Hulk after the Russo bullshit.

What is the deal with Midajah’s husband being brought up a bunch lately!l? He’s a weird TikTok celebrity and he is on Chris Van Vliet’s podcast this week.

I guess any man who can make Big Poppa Pump’s number one freak forget about the largest arms in the world is worth celebrating.

Goldberg should've ran through the WMAC Masters roster. Until he gets wrecked by Hakeem the motherfucking Machine anyway.

Bob Smith worked for ECW in ‘92 so he probably has some good untold stories about their dingy beginnings.

Did ECW fans really see Dancin' Stevie as a potential "World" title holder in early 97? Reading about ECW at the time made him seem more stooge/lackey than champ. I guess if Raven/Stevie don't head for WCW u could do something with Stevie winning a fluky title match and Raven boils over in jealously and murks him a month or 2 later.

At best it would've been completely storyline driven. A scenario like Stevie winning the World Title and Raven annihilates him the next month or two (who then loses to say a Sandman/Shane Douglas/Sabu/Taz?) before bolting to WCW. An outside interesting storyline could've had Dreamer beat Stevie for the World Title then beat Raven the month before he leaves for WCW.

You also have to remember that #1: ECW fans weren't WWF or WCW fans. They saw Mikey Whipwreck win title belts after all. Spike Dudley was really over. They've always had a bit of a soft spot for the underdog despite their bloodthirsty reputation. #2: Heyman was all about the storylines regardless of a guy was "ready" or "over" with the fans. If it made more sense for the story and Heyman could get something bigger out of it, he'd take that chance. Usually it worked out, sometimes it didn't.

When 1997 started not so much but he had a ton of momentum after Barely Legal and seemed ready for the title that summer

Any truth to Sabu beating Terry Funk for the ECW title in 1997 being an accident because both were so engulfed in the barbed wire that Terry couldn't kick out?

Stevie/Raven never got to happen in ECW. It would've been a big deal. ECW's ceiling was different, anyway. Remember when Al Snow was a big deal?

If it means Funk/Backlund happens, I'm down. Always wanted to see that, oddly.

Backlund and Fonzie would've been great together during Fonzie's major heel run. Then 911 kills him.

Backlund and Funk also worked together in Amarillo. That was Backlund's first territory and he spoke highly of Terry in his book.
