Speaking of Nintendo, Console Wars is a must read for anybody who grew up in the 1980's/1990's or anybody into video games period.

Watching people play 1001 Spikes on twitch is my new favorite thing. I think I'll broadcast myself getting destroyed by it next time.

I don't normally pimp GADD on here, but this is one of the rare weeks when I think it's actually good, so...

21st is always a good place to start!

Evolve was delayed until 2015.

So what the fuck is coming out this year? Waiting until March to get a new system (which will probably be a PS4) just seems like a better decision by the week.

Far Cry 4, Assassin's Creed Unity (new gen) and Rogue (old gen), Dragon Age: Inquisition, WWE 2K15... umm... GTA V for PC, PS4, Xbone.

I'm having to look some up now. Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U, Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Destiny is a big one, and only about a month off.

There's some stuff, I guess. I pre-ordered a bunch of games during the E3 Best Buy sale as a just-in-case situation, but I don't think I'll be itching to keep anything. Though I haven't used an old console in a fair while; I don't own a new console (except Wii U, but

), and probably won't for a while, as I'd need a new TV or an HDMI receiver; and I don't buy new PC releases, as I can't sell or trade them.

I finally got myself a Bluetooth speaker for my tablet. My headphone jack is slowly wearing out and the built in speakers are OK, but tinny. I usually listen to something to fall asleep and all I had was a JBL speaker that only worked with my 4 year old IPod Touch that only runs the YouTube app.

Meanwhile, Origin has free "Game Time" on Titanfall, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare, and Kingdoms of Amalur is still up there.

I have fond memories playing The Sims series all the way back to the first game. I played each one less as time went on just because my tastes started to change. The announcement of the 4th game in the series actually got my excitement back for starting all over again but I'm disappointed by the amount of things missing from the previous games.

I can understand not having some fringe features but the list is just too big.

I finally got around to getting Spec Ops: The Line. It definitely has a different "feel" to shooters of this type and it largely succeeds in being "gritty and realistic" without being gratuitous. I think it's Nolan North's awesome performance that ties it all together; he does a great job playing a guy that is slowly unraveling.

I finally got around to finishing Mass Effect 1 in my trilogy replay. That game just dumps you back to the title screen at the end and my other non-end game save is like 5 or 6 hours back. I bought the Bring Down the Sky DLC like 5 years ago and still haven't played it.

To ME2! Maybe it won't take a year this time!

Wow...right out of the gate you can tell how much improved 2 is. I forgot how fast paced the gameplay became and they waste no time getting right into the story.

I wasn't too keen on having to pop up the menu every time to use a power in 1, so mapping a power to each bumper was a great change. Maybe they went too far towards shooter in 2, but I think they struck a nice balance in 3.

Microsoft has indeed bought Mojang for 2.5 billion dollars and Notch has removed himself the company. Just freaking wow. Never expected someone to pay Notch his out money (2 billion).
