I'm upset that the person who came up with all the gay stuff didn't come up with "GAY-ming."

Goddamnit, Splinter Cell Conviction is delayed AGAIN until April. Guess my Best Buy gift card will go toward Mass Effect 2 then.

On that note, even though its still a few months off to SC:C again, Amazon has the pre-order marked down to $51.99 right now.

So my small ass town doesn't have a copy of NCAA Football 2010 that I can buy. 100000 copies of fucking Madden, but not NCAA. I went to the three game places and WalMart and everyone was sold out. What the hell...

Based on the demo, Dark Void is going to suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. The controls are not so great, and the shooting aspect is as bad as it looks. Weaksauce.

I couldn't even get through the demo. The controls were complete shit.

Blame EA. NCAA comes out in July. Madden in August. EA simply doesn't want to compete against themselves so after being out for only maybe two - two 1/2 months, they stop shipping it out.

Can somebody take a minute to explain the difference between DVD+R, DVD-R and the other variations when it comes to buying blank DVDs to burn?

Hardly makes a difference now, but it was like the DVD version of VHS/Beta Max, however most DVD players can read both formats now.

So if it comes to simply storing data on them (I burn actual files and watch via my PS3) and not a traditional DVD I can buy pretty much anything? Good stuff.

I think NCAA 2010 is my number one XBox 360 game in terms of hours logged. I'm in an ultra-competitive online dynasty with my friends from high school. The rule is 1 game per day, but sometimes it ends up being two. We're averaging a season every 1.5 weeks.

The actual dynasty and recruiting parts are just about perfect. I'd kill to have the gameplay be as good as it is in Madden, though. Still... very fun game.

Is there anybody here who doesn't use MySpace?

I want to get rid of the captchas there but you need a cellphone number to text you the code you need to input but it's only available to US residents.

So am I the only one who is taking the nerd plunge and getting Star Trek Online? I've been playing the beta and enjoying it. I had to get a new video card to run it, and a new power supply to run said video card, so I've already sunk some money into this thing so damnit I'm going to play the hell out of it.

I've been playing the Beta, but I won't be buying it. Feels like a single player game, so don't see the need to pay monthly at the moment. Though it would make a fantastic Star Trek RPG.

See that's part of why I like it, the single player thing. I don't like games where I HAVE to get involved with other players, I'm a loner. I like the openness of an MMORPG but I don't want to be forced to deal with other people. Star Trek scales to the number of people in an instance so I can play alone. Sometimes I'll end up with other people automatically and that's fine too, but I don't have to arrange a group of people I don't know etc. etc.

That's the problem a lot of people have with Cryptic MMO's, there's not really anything massive about it. Another problem is they are more often than not rush job MMO's that look to cash in quickly with lifetime subs and micro transactions.

A lot of MMO players would tear you a new one if you said you prefer to solo most of the time, since they think grouping is dying out. A lot of MMO players are elitist retards though.

I like both the massive games and the others that let you play a lone for a while. I really liked Pirates of the Burning Sea since when you were doing a quest/mission you were taken to your own personal instance, but the world was a massive place where ports could be attacked by whole factions and the trading system was massive too. I've heard the ship combat in STO is somewhat similar to POTBS, so I'm tempted to try it out, but I just know I won't be playing it after a month after hearing some other reviews on the content.

Yeah it is, the whole world is one one server, but everything within that server is then instanced into smaller servers of 50 people. I think the only MMO I'm going to bother trying is FFXIV - COME ON CLOSED BETA!
