You guys aren't being very encouraging. Then again, I only spent five bucks on the game, so there's only so much frustration I'm going to put up with.

For five bucks it's not a completely terrible experience. That's actually what I paid for it too. (Gamestop used, I'm guessing?) I enjoyed it for the most part but as fazzle said, about 75% through the story gets really stupid and the final 'boss fight' is just... blah.

It's a fun way to kill a couple hours though.

Basically. Independent used media store in Akron called "The Exchange". Really cool little place.

I bought Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit here) for PC, but apparently it hates Windows 7 so I gave up trying and played poker instead.

Run it in XP/Vista compatability mode.

Right click > Properties > compatibility.

Despite having played and beaten most of the Final Fantasy games a billion times each I still hadn't gotten through 1, 2, and 5. So I bought the FF1 port for iphone and finally finished that off last night. Two will probably be next, and hopefully five shortly after so I can finally have gotten through them all. Oh and I still need to actually beat 12, but I've gotten to the last dungeon so I'm close enough for now. Then after all of that it'll be time for 13.

I did, but it was something during installation IIRC that prevented me from installing, even after fiddling with the setup file.

Am I a bad person for playing classic RPGs via emulator solely so I can hold down the fast-forward button and accelerate through things at a ridiculous pace in order to say I beat the game while only spending a couple afternoons on it? Once you've played a Pokemon game at 800% speed you can't go back to 100% again.

Oldskool as soon as you mentioned speeding the game up, I immediately thought of the way I play pokemon games.

Try playing one on a DS now.

I watched Giant Bomb's quick look on Yakuza 3 yesterday. "Deliberate" doesn't even begin to describe how that game seems to be paced. It's also weird how it looks like for every minute of FMV with voice acting there seems to be 3 or 4 minutes of dialog in text boxes.

I can't speak for Yakuza 3, but Yakuza 2 really picks up, so long as you can get through the first few hours explaining the first game.

Exactly how isn't the Zelda character the most offensive thing ever in a training video?

Note to glorified video game pawnshops: we're not going to like somebody just because you try to pretend they have the same name as a video game character.

Same goes for that bitch Aeris from Gamestop.

The guy totally suckered that soccer mom, too. Gee, ya, you *could* get your kid a Gamecube which has tons of multi-player games and has 4 controller ports already on it...or a PS2, which costs a lot more to begin with, requires a multi-tap in addition to the extra controllers, and I'd be hard pressed to recommend many great multi-player games for, at least exclusive ones.

It's a chain, but it's a local one.

*thumbs up* Yeah, I like that place too. Much, much better than Gamestop to be sure.

I try to go to the Monroeville location as much as possible, but I've also been to the one in Ross Township a few times.

The guy commenting on this video is really annoying. Sometimes less is more.

I d/led the Splinter Cell: Conviction demo. It seems a bit more action oriented and less devoted to stealth like the previous game. Going head to head is still a bad idea though since you still don't take many bullets before going down.

Oh. My. God. I can't believe that video is online. I watched that back in 2004 when Gamecrazy made every employee watch it and then take a test on the fucking thing. Biggest waste of time ever. Everyone had to be in the store an hour before the store opened to watch the video and take the test. The funny thing is that Gamecrazy only made that one and never made any new employee watch that video and take a test on it again. Then again it's not that funny if you knew how Gamecrazy operated because they did shit like that all the time. They make their employees do something or their stores do a certain thing and never really follow up on it. Gamecrazy is sorta like the WCW of video game stores really.

That's mainly the reason why Hollywood Video/Movie Gallery/Gamecrazy are going out of business. Really really poor managing. I could tell you guys stories.

1. Your Batcan picture kicks ass.

2. Alrighty here's one...So the company would be really push stores to push sale items. The three things the company wanted every store to push was membership cards, Pre-orders, and warrienties, which really wasn't a big deal but randomly Gamecrazy would tell stores to focus on selling used stuff but when a store did that, they could get chewed out because their new stuff sales were a little lower than normal.

I'm pretty sure when Halo 2 came out, we got in chewed out because are New Sales were really high and are used sales really wasn't. It was really weird and no sense. It was like the company didn't realize how video game and retail sales worked.

That was kinda a week story wasn't it?

So, I DL'd Max Payne 2 off of Live. Yeah, still fun to play, although the AI is for shit. And Mona Sax is still one of the hottest female characters in video games. Her model, Kathy Tong, is well worth a google search, although since she was a legit model you won't find any NSFW pics (I think).

I'm about 5 minutes into this, and I'm embarrased for the company and the actors involved. You can pretty much tell this video was thought up in a board room by 5 or so 50-something white guys. I just laughed till I cried from Zelda saying "Ry-DAWG, that was the bomb diggity my friend! Howd ya do it, dawg?"

I'm surprised Michael Buffer didn't come after them for the "Let's get ready to rumble line". I remember him sending System of a Down a cease and desist letter around 2001 because the frontman yelled it during a concert.

Anyone telling System of a Down to cease and desist has my support.

As to the gamecrazy video I couldn't make it more than a couple of minutes in. My god is that bad. I did skip to the end though and saw Zelda singing Rappers Delight. I don't even know what to say about it. Really, what the fuck so you say about that?

Since they are on sale this week I got the last two DLC for Fallout 3. Point Lookout has to be one of the creepiest fucking settings I've ever seen in a game. You can't listen to your radio either so all there is is a deathly calm. It's awesome.

I just found it thanks to the wonders of roms, but Crayon Shin-Chan 2 - Daimaou no Gyakushuu may be the greatest SNES game ever. It's based on the Shin Chan manga/anime, and while I have no clue what's going on due to it all being in Japanese, that doesn't mean it's not hilariously amazing. It's a basic platformer, but it's just full of so many what the fuck moments. On one level I picked up a powerup that looked like an elephant, so I used it to see what it did. The background transformed to a spinning elephant head, Shin Chan took off his pants and mooned the camera...and that was it. That's the entire powerup. One of the bosses I fought had two attacks, he would either A) throw a hammer at me, or B) throw a bra at me, not to mention the fact that he would take off his shirt every time I hit him. Plus one of the random enemies in this game is a GIANT ASS. The ass has legs, and walks around in a pair of pants. The legs are in the pants, the ass is fully exposed and ready to rock. I just got done with an underwater stage, and yes, the giant ass was still there. ASSES WITH SNORKELS, I shit you not.

10 billion stars.

Shin-Chan might be the worst excuse for a tv show/cartoon/anime ever, but that sounds fantastic.

Im finally upgrading my 20gb 360 HDD. Amazon had a second hand one for £29.99. Totally worth it, at least now i can have more than one game installed and not have to worry about DLC killing what space i have left.

The Game Room was released for XBLA today. None of the games really caught my eye since I remember more of the late 80s/early 90s arcade games, but the concept is cool.
