More than likely I just suck at baseball games now-a-days but I can't hit for shit. Pitching using the right stick is still iffy and it just really feels like they ported all of NBA's visuals onto the baseball franchise. I mean fuck, even the pre-game music is the same.

It was alright, probably not something I am going to buy.

The right stick pitching controls are pretty annoying. And the lack of a quality pitch recognition system made hitting pretty crappy too. I got Burnett in the first game and there was no way to tell a fastball from a knucklecurve.

So i decided to rent Avatar because im bored, even the game has some fancy pants 3D in it. I tried fulling about with the 3D options as i have my cinema glasses, but no cigar, it doesnt do a damn thing.

I always thought 3D was two images overlapping and said glasses refocus'd the image back to normal, giving the depth perception.

You need a special TV to use it, along with the special glasses.

There are people who are totally convinced this is the next big thing. I don't buy it.

Who the hell wants to watch "The Office" and news shows in 3D? 3D is a gimmick more suited for a one time experience like Avatar in the theater. I ain't paying $3,000 for it.

Like HDTVs, the tech will go down in price and become the norm.

It would have to be special recorded that way, so unless it's newly filmed, I wouldn't expect you to see it. Certainly it would be rare at first on TV budgets, I suspect.

Plus you need to wear the glasses or else it's just a mess.

I downloaded the MLB 2k10 demo just now. A definite step up visually and it seems lke you don't have to do that "step" before you swing which I never got the hang of; now you just flick forward for contact and pull back and forward for a power swing. Definitely worth taking a look at.

I don't get how to pitch in the game. I keep throwing too many balls. On the other hand, hitting is a lot better and I didn't have a single outfielder commit a stupid error.

Took the game home early and am going thru the my player mode.

Made a 1B / RF..I got my OF positions crossed and made the RF instead of the LF as I had wanted.

Chose to play for the Astros and apparently was good enough to make it into AA and play for the Corpus Christi Hooks.

So far..I suck. Can't really time the pitches for shit but did get lucky in one game vs the San Antonio Missions and wound up with a 5 RBI game. 4 of which came with a grand slam that earned me some nice skill points and an avatar award.

Re: Skill Points.. they're broken down into "Hitting / Fielding / Base Running" and how you perform during each section of the game affects how many points you get for a certain category which is both good and bad. If you don't reach base or are a shitty base runner, you won't get any BR points which in turn means you cannot upgrade your speed.

Anyone with questions about the game, feel free to ask.

My girlfriend and I are playing Sega Bass Fishing on Dreamcast (with the rod of course). She just caught a monster weighing nearly 22 lbs. The announcer guy said it was a record for that stage. Any of you guys catch anything bigger?

I finally picked up Ghostbusters: The Video Game, since I saw it was only 20$. Being a Ghostbusters geek... that game was all sorts of awesome. On the short side, as I beat it within 2 days of owning it, but still lots of fun.

As you all know, I have a website (shameless plug). But I'm looking to improve on it by having direct downloads to my work rather than going through Rapidshare.

Anyone have any clue how to do this? I'm clearly behind the times what with me using Moonfruit so please be gentle with me. And by gentle, I mean give me a simple soloution.

Why can't I copy text and paste it into blogspot? I've done it before for school related projects.

There should be a TMNT crossover with Mario games. They've got plenty of turtles. Koopa Troopa, Paratroopa, Lakitu, Hammer Bro, Dry Bones...

On a whim I started the first BioShock again recently. It was one of the first games I demoed when I first got my 360 and I was blown away at the opening sequence as you swim through the burning wreckage to this weird tower and then take this elevator down into an underwater freakin' city! It still holds up as one of the greatest and most unique openings of any game ever made.

^The other guitarist in my band let me borrow that last night. I haven't played it yet, but I'm actually excited to, since AVP gets old after a little while.

I'm playing that now myself! I tried it last August and didn't like it but I'm enjoying it a little more now. I'm not that big into shooters but I'm liking it just fine.

On another topic, I have been interested in giving Darksiders a whirl...dl'd the demo last night and gave it a shot. I liked it ok, and I can see the Zelda comparisons as being somewhat accurate. I quit the demo without finishing it though, as it was a long ass demo and Lost was coming on. I might give this a full shot once I'm finished with FF and the new DA.

I bought Lunar: Silver Star Harmony today, but haven't played it yet. I hope XSEED and GameArts does something similar with Lunar 2.

Why is Zelda on the SNES so damn expensive on eBay? Is it now a rare game?

Bioshock was the first game I played after popping in a new Video card into my PC a few years back. I was marking out for a long ass time and didn't want to go into the tower for a while.

My dad puts $12 on it at his store. It's one of the biggest selling games of all time, so it's not the least bit rare.
